Unfortunately we are in a lose-lose situation in the industry right now. Yes, some platforms are cracking down on words/terms/regulations. It's annoying and I've been subject to it as well. But they are doing that due to pressure from the banks and credit card processors. I can assure you platforms don't take pleasure in removing content that makes them $$. This is not personal and they are not out to get us/police us. Jumping ship to a less established (albeit more lenient) platform is not a winning long term solution. ESPECIALLY if you already have a built up client base on one platform. Do you think these (currently) more lenient platforms are not going to be subject to the same bank regulations eventually? And frankly, some sites (who I will NOT be naming) are playing fast and loose with regulations and are allowing content that I wouldn't even want on my personal computer, let alone a profit earning website that I own. In this instance, I'd prefer dealing with some annoying compliance issues rather than have all my eggs in one basket on a site that I constantly side eye because of the questionable content that is permitted. And also, creating your own website does not free you from the shackles of banking regulations. In fact, it makes YOU personally responsible for age verifying your client base and ensuring your content is acceptable to your payment processor. So unless you begin selling content directly to the consumer (possible but a bit annoying and more difficult to scale), you will still be subject to the same rules.
