Simple message for the weekend:
If you get angry and can’t control your behaviour at kids’ football, consider not going. Nobody wants adults shouting & screaming at refs in front of 8-yr-olds because a kick-in went the wrong way. It’s kids playing football.
Get some perspective.

The incentives are to market to affluent parents. So yes, every club has Nike/Adidas/etc uniforms, training shirts, backpacks, branded merchandise—because it’s impressive to the yuppies.
Travel is a bonus for those parents. I can’t tell you how many times parents complain that we go to too many tournaments in the same city… the soccer is an excuse to vacation.
The club incentives must be changed.
Landon shares his gripes on pay-to-play in America.
“Somebody has to pay for soccer. The problem is, all these youth clubs now are grinding every penny out of every family. I have kids. I can afford to pay for it. My kid has four training jerseys. Why the hell does he need four? They have to use the hotels that our club tells them they have to use because the club’s getting a kickback from it. They have to use the insurance company. They’re traveling to Vegas from San Diego at eight years-old to play a game. This is ridiculous.”
