Private credit is a loan before it is a token.
At its core, private credit is capital provided directly to a company or institutional borrower outside public debt markets.
The lender and borrower agree on the interest rate, term, collateral, covenants, and repayment conditions. The borrower receives capital, while the lender earns interest for providing it and taking the associated credit and liquidity risk.
Moving the structure onchain can enhance access, settlement, share accounting, and reporting. However, the underlying credit remains dependent on the borrower, collateral, and facility terms.
This is the asset class behind Goblin Private Credit I, which we’ll break down in detail throughout the series.

What actually drives your APR?
On Hyperion, Total APR has two main layers.
→ Fee APR comes from trading activity. When traders use the pool, LPs earn swap fees from that flow.
→ Farm APR comes from additional incentive rewards shown on the pool.
Current examples:
• APT-USDt — 167.99% Total APR
127.52% Fee APR + 40.47% Farm APR
Mostly powered by trading fees.
• APT-USDC — 92.79% Total APR
89.99% Fee APR + 2.79% Farm APR
