We’ve reached the point on the school year where I’m sick of the children and also realizing that I’ll miss them.
Got an email sent at 8:44 pm telling me about a faculty meeting at 8:15 am tomorrow. Follow up at 8:51 pm. “Please be prompt.”
Excited for the thank you and self care portions of the meeting.
There are so many great uses for Zoom meetings but these folks trying to do them in their car or walking around are gonna get us all sent back to in-person nonsense.
Teachers expect behavior from their students they do not expect of themselves and they justify their hypocrisy by saying “I am an adult.”

One of my students wrapped up and brought me a slice of their birthday cake today. And for some reason it made me very happy!
Just got emails from three separate students about the substitute being weird. I have no idea what they are talking about. But now I am fascinated to return to school. Being out with Covid sucks.

Nothing says leveraging technology for a Digital Learning Day like scheduling in-person staff meetings that require driving to multiple places.

GCPS joins the rest of Atlanta and Georgia in congratulating the Atlanta Braves on winning this year’s World Series. GCPS is closing schools on Nov. 5. This will not be a digital learning day. All staff-- with the exception of 12-month employees-- will not report to work Friday.
