Under pressure from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran. The target would be Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence claims the Iranian government has restarted its nuclear enrichment program. No conventional weapon in the American arsenal can penetrate 300 feet of solid granite to destroy the tunnels where enrichment is supposedly taking place. The only military option is a nuclear strike. Netanyahu has been pushing hard for one. “Bibi calls Trump about it every day,” says an informed observer. Netanyahu is cornered and desperate. After last week’s election results, he can’t form a government unless Trump intervenes directly in Israeli politics and brokers a deal with other parties that gives Netanyahu 61 seats in the Knesset. Otherwise, he is out as prime minister and on his way to ignominy, investigations and possibly jail. Netanyahu must stay close to Trump. He needs this war. To that end, he’s applied maximum pressure to his closest allies in the administration, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper. Both oppose a negotiated settlement to the war they’ve so grievously mismanaged; both are pushing to restart major combat operations. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA director John Ratcliffe are also following Netanyahu’s lead, as are leaders of the Democratic Party. In a recent meeting on the subject, former president Barack Obama said he opposes the current Iran peace deal being drafted in Doha. The rest of America’s longtime allies in the Middle East are terrified by the prospect of more war. On September 27th, Netanyahu flew secretly to Abu Dhabi to enlist the UAE in his lobbying effort for a final attack on Iran. The Emiratis refused. After eight months of conflict, Gulf economies are teetering. So are global energy and fertilizer markets. They won’t recover soon. Globally, there are a total of about 850 supertankers used to transport oil from producers to the rest of the world. In October alone, 11 of them were badly damaged in Hormuz. At this pace, a global depression is imminent. A nuclear strike would radically accelerate the destruction. Fallout from a ground explosion at Pickax Mountain would contaminate the Persian Gulf, poisoning the water supply for 100 million people. And those are just some of the immediate consequences for the region. The rest of the world is every bit as exposed. No country other than the United States has ever used a nuclear weapon in war. Some would like to. An American nuclear attack on Iran would set a new precedent. The Russians have already told at least two other governments that an American nuclear strike on Iran would free them to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. Pakistan and India would be tempted to do the same against each other, as would North Korea against Seoul. After the first nuclear strike, World War Three is inevitable. That war would be short and final. We’ve been sleepwalking toward this moment for months. Since February, the administration has quietly rewritten America’s nuclear doctrine to make first use of so-called “battlefield nukes” easier and therefore more likely. No one in Washington in either party seems bothered by this. Now we’re on the brink of it. Close observers say Trump is likely to decide by next weekend whether or not to use nuclear weapons. That would be November 7, six days from now. To his credit, he’s hesitating. At the moment, Trump is listening to his vice president, JD Vance, and to his envoy and friend Steve Witkoff, both of whom argue a deal with Iran can be made. They’re right, though it won’t be simple. The Iranians are famously frustrating to negotiate with under any circumstances, and elements of that government have become more radical since Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his family were killed in February. After decades of isolation, even relatively moderate Iranian leaders seem confused by how decisions are made in the West. (There is a widespread belief in Tehran, for example, that the United States government controls Israel.) But overall, people who have spoken to decision-makers in Iran say there is consensus there that more war is bad for everyone and a deal is worth making. One group that hasn’t been consulted so far is the global population — the hundreds of millions of people who will be killed along with their children if Trump is pushed by Netanyahu into launching a nuclear strike next week. Now would be the time for them to speak up.

I started praying 5 years ago, asked everything I wanted to Allah during prayer and he gave me even more than I ever imagined, a Youtube empire that made me 100k+ a month. I stopped praying 1 year into my career, when I went to live abroad, and Allah kept me succesful for 2 years after, but then took away that whole empire within one day. I got permanently banned off Youtube, and Youtube didn't care about bringing me back at all. 2 years I wandered, making no money, losing money cause of investing in the wrong things. Until last month, when I was at my lowest and had but 50$ on my bank account. I started praying again, repenting and asking Allah to save me from this situation. And now I earn 15k a month again from Tiktok Shop, just a couple weeks later, being the number one creator in the Netherlands. How merciful and compassionate our creator is to just accept me again after turning my back to him, without any delay. Perhaps he made me bring myself to rock bottom so I can return back to him. Do not turn your back to Allah, and even if you did, return to him and ask forgiveness, and wallahi if you truly ask for forgiveness he will give you embrace you with open arms (figuratively) and exalt you in whatever way you desire. Do your ghusl and wudu, and start praying again. Ask whatever you want and you will get even more than you ever thought you'd get. Indeed, He is al-Rahman al-Rahim.

What's happening in Gaza is now almost entirely absent from the top international headlines. But Israel is still killing Palestinians and their babies are freezing to death. We can't afford to stop talking about that.

While we all admire Manchester City for its football, it’s important to raise awareness about something serious. You may have noticed City’s channels are flooded with comments about Sudan — here’s why. Reports link Sheikh Mansour, the club’s owner and a senior UAE official, to his country’s role in the Sudan conflict, where civilians continue to suffer. While this has nothing to do with the club or our players directly, the actions of our owner and his government must be condemned. I normally don’t post about politics, but this is about awareness, transparency, and moral responsibility. Football should stand for good. #PrayForSudan 🇸🇩
Did you know that the owner of Manchester City Sheikh Mansour is smuggling weaponry into Sudan and treating RSF fighters in a hospital he set up through his charities? He’s playing an outsized role in the genocide in Sudan. Textbook sportswashing.

Mamdani: Yesterday, Andrew Cuomo laughed and agreed when a radio host said that I would cheer another 9/11. Yesterday, Eric Adams said that we “can’t let our city become Europe.” He compared me to violent extremists, and he lied when he said that our movement seeks to burn churches and destroy communities. The day before that, Curtis Sliwa slandered me from a debate stage when he claimed that I support global jihad. And every day, Super PAC ads imply that I am a terrorist or mock the way I eat, push polls that ask New Yorkers questions like whether they support invented proposals to make halal mandatory, or political cartoons that represent my candidacy as an airplane hurtling towards the World Trade Center. But I do not want to use this moment to speak to them any further. I want to use this moment to speak to the Muslims of this city. I want to speak to the memory of my aunt, who stopped taking the subway after September 11th because she did not feel safe in her hijab.  I want to speak to the Muslim who works for our city—whether they teach in our schools or walk the beat for the NYPD, New Yorkers who all make daily sacrifices on behalf of this city, only to see their leaders spit in their face. I want to speak to every child who grows up in New York marked as the Other, who is randomly selected in a way that rarely feels random, who feels that they carry a stain that can never be cleaned. Growing up in the shadow of 9/11, I have known what it means to live with an undercurrent of suspicion. I will always remember the disdain I faced, the way my name could immediately become “Mohammad,” and how I could return to my city only to be asked in a double mirrored room at the airport if I had any plan of attacking it. And since I was very young, I have known that I was spared the worst of it. I was never pressured to be an informant like classmates of mine. I have never had the word ‘terrorist’ spray-painted on my garage, as one of my aides has. My mosque has never been set on fire. To be Muslim in New York is to expect indignity. But indignity does not make us distinct—there are many who face it. It is the tolerance of that indignity that does.

Our final beta event is the last thing standing between Gradient and its public release. This makes it a great time to dive into how we've planned our release after the event... The Final Beta The second and final event is to include the trading of select partners, the market making panel, and custom price orders. Our tester group size will be far greater this time around. GRAY on Gradient We'll be closing this beta with $GRAY being permanently tradable by the public on the Gradient platform. Partners on Gradient Shortly after, our 15+ partner tokens will join us on the Gradient, committing liquidity to the Flash Layer. Public communities will be able to trade these coins price-impact free through both layers for the first time ever. Any & all coins on Gradient Next up will be our wide-spread platform release, allowing any and all coins to be traded on the Gradient in a permissionless fashion. Integrations with leading trading platforms and protocols will follow, enabling users to route trades through Gradient directly from their preferred apps.
