Museveni wasted 8 years in the bush. Ruled the country for 40 years and did totally nothing to help the country. Human rights are being violated, no stable electricity, the education system got worse, and the health system is rotten after his 40 year gun rule. He didn't build a single institution.
And now, he's leaving a country in the hands of a guy that can't speak, can't be respect opponents, a guy that likes to torture people, a guy that runs his mouth.
@KagutaMuseveni shame up on you.

🇧🇷🇺🇸 Will Jair Bolsonaro get a U.S. visa too despite being under HOUSE ARREST?
The State Department says Flávio Bolsonaro and his family will receive U.S. visas after reports that he FLED Brazil despite a travel ban and investigations into corruption, money laundering, and tax evasion.
It's unclear whether his father, fmr. President Jair Bolsonaro, is included. He's serving a 27-year sentence under house arrest.
Flávio's brother, Eduardo, already lives in Texas after being convicted in absentia in June and sentenced to 4 years for illegally lobbying the Trump admin.
Could Trump be Jair Bolsonaro's sole lifeline?

Heavenly Father, As I lay down to rest tonight, I thank You for carrying me through this day, thank You for Your love, Your mercy, and every blessing, those seen and those unseen. My heart is filled with gratitude because You have been faithful today and always, thank you because it is who you are, my Faithful God. While we sleep, cover me and my loved ones with Your mighty hand, surround us with your blade of fire, protect us from every danger, every evil, and every plan of the enemy. Let Your angels watch over us, grant us peaceful rest, and renew our strength for tomorrow and days to come. Be in complete charge of my life, my family, and all that concerns me. My trust is all in you because you are always watching over us. IJN. Amen. 🙏

Rudolf Marquardt is a German electronics engineer and a businessman, who operated an electronics firm in Germany, RM Electronic, and was previously married to a Kenyan woman, with whom he had children.
In 2009, while visiting his former Kenyan in-laws in Maseno, in Kisumu, his former mother-in-law pleaded with him to establish a base in the Kisumu, near Maseno area so that her grandchildren in Germany would have a permanent place to stay when they visited Kenya.
Motivated by his family ties, Rudolf decided to invest his life savings into building a home, an electronic security company, a hotel, and agricultural businesses in Kisumu.
During that 2009 trip to Maseno, he met Valery, who introduced herself to him, as a close friend of Rudolf’s sister-in-law, Patience, and began their romantic relationship.
At the time, Valery, was a single mother living with her young son and a roommate in a cramped, two-room flat in a low-income housing area of Kisumu known as "10 Houses, and struggling financially.
In 2010 Rudolf returned to Kenya to purchase land parcels in Riat, Kisumu. Trusting Valery because of the close family connection, Rudolf decided to help elevate her life situation, and made her his local business partner, so she could legally manage local affairs.
On the land parcels purchased in Riat, Kisumu, titled Konya/4794 and Konya/5087, Rudolf completed building a large, modern two-storey corporate residence.
Once the home was ready, Rudolf brought Valery and her young son out of their low-income rental flat and moved them into the house, where he gave them a dedicated wing of the building, while he stayed in the master bedroom.
Because Rudolf was frequently traveling back and forth between Germany and Kenya to manage his European affairs and funnel investment cash into the Kisumu projects, he left Valery with total day-to-day oversight of the properties.
Between 2011 and 2012, Rudolf successfully finalized his capital investments in Kisumu, where he completed constructing and setting up:
• A fully operational hotel and fast-food restaurant in Kisumu town.
• An electronic security company (Rudi Marquardt Electronic Co. Ltd.).
• A small-scale poultry and dairy farm stocked with dairy cows and free-range chickens to supply fresh food directly to the hotel.
To manage these active businesses, Rudolf legally registered Rudi Marquardt Electronic Company Limited and officially appointed Valery as the on-site local manager, caretaker, and director, and allocated her 1 token share out of 10,000 shares in his newly registered companies, KenitSol Co. Ltd. and Rudi Marquardt Electronic Co. Ltd.
Between 2012, and 2013, Rudolf frequently travel back and forth to Germany to manage his European electronic security affairs and continued transferring cash to Kenya, leaving Valery with absolute, unmonitored day-to-day control of the hotel, restaurant, and agricultural farms.
In late 2013, Rudolf discovered deep financial discrepancies and realized Valery was systematically stealing from him, and diverting business revenues into her own personal accounts.
According to court records, Rudolf officially fired her on September 19, 2013, and officially stripped her of all her management roles and cancelled her authorization to run the companies, KenitSol Co. Ltd. and Rudi Marquardt Electronic Co. Ltd.
Valery did not accept being removed and locked Rudolf physically out of his own business premises, the hotel, and the restaurant, and prevented him from inspecting the financial records or operations.
She then approached a lawyer who manufactured an entirely fraudulent court ruling claiming that she and Rudolf had been legally married and were now going through a divorce settlement.
In the fake document, Valery cited extreme cruelty, domestic hostility, and a threat to her safety as the grounds for their "divorce."

Thanks to the folks at @Uganda_LII for making the Hansard readily and widely available. Now we can find quick entries on the issues.
Below is an extract on the Gen. Elwelu situation.
Be sure not to laugh at the irony of then Speaker Anita Among’s quip when Mr Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda brought the issue to the floor of @Parliament_Ug
In the Hansard of Tuesday, 13 May 2025, page 17240 (PDF page 6), Hon. Ssemujju referred to Lt. Gen. Elwelu twice:
“Lt Gen. Elwelu, there, was called ‘a buffoon’ by the CDF. -(Laughter)- One by one -”
Later in the same contribution, he stated:
“Lt. Gen. Elwelu is about to run away. I do not know whether Gen. David Muhoozi sits in his office comfortably. The minister for defence, the other day, was here. So, we have all become victims of this one man called Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba. This Parliament must find a solution.”
The Speaker responded:
“At least, I am not a victim – honourable members, what we need to look at is: where does that information come from? On social media, anybody can post anything, anytime. Next item.”
These were Ssemujju’s statements recorded in Parliament, rather than findings made by the House.
You can find that Hansard record here: ulii.org/en/akn/ug/doc/parli…

How Muhoozi rise was known in 1997
First son Muhoozi Kaneirugabao.. on July 3, 1997, the budding Crusader newspaper broke a story of how the President’s son, Brigadier Muhoozi Kainerugaba, had recruited a coterie of fresh graduates from Makerere University to join the army.
The Muhoozi recruits, about 100 in number, were supposed to train at Kasenyi on the shores of Lake Victoria and “evolve into an elite presidential guard”. Within years, the Presidential Guard Brigade was indeed formed, although Muhoozi’s role in it was mentioned in whispers.
It was when it became the Special Forces Group in 2010, that the president’s son seemed to come to the fore. When it was reported, lawmakers in the Sixth Parliament raised still flak to Muhoozi’s recruitment drive.
The First Son had just completed his studies at Nottingham University in the United Kingdom, and had no military background. The issue became so combustible in the House that a lawmaker for Bufumbira East, Eddie Kwizera, suggested that Muhoozi be arrested.
“If Muhoozi is recruiting and training the army, then he is violating the Constitution. He should be arrested and charged,” Kwizera retorted, adding: “To raise an army, you must be authorized. Who authorized Muhoozi? If it is the president, he violated the constitution”.
Then junior Defence minister, Amama Mbabazi, told the plenary in August of 1997 that Muhoozi was not recruiting on behalf of the army, but for another quasi-military outfit, the Local Defence Unit (LDU).
“People have been encouraged to carry out recruitment of LDUs. Government is ready to facilitate you to help train cadres,” said Mbabazi, who had been put on the spot.
Museveni had earlier on, during a news conference, defended his son’s activities. “He did so with my knowledge. I see nothing with that,” Museveni said.
At the briefing, Museveni said it would be erroneous for people to refer to Muhoozi as a soldier, equating him to an LDU (Local Defence Unit personnel). MPs, however, said Museveni and Mbabazi’s arguments were flawed. Firebrand Norbert Mao, then Gulu municipality MP, said the recruitment was dubious, illegal and unacceptable.
“He is only entitled to recruit a boy’s brigade as an NGO, but not a national army,” Mao said.
Today, most of Muhoozi’s acolytes not only occupy the high echelons of the Special Forces Command (SFC); they are also represent the future of the UPDF. Muhoozi, in September 2001, graduated at the Gadaffi school of Infantry as a second lieutenant in the Sixth Intake and was handed an army number, R08643.
In January 2012, The Observer carried a story underscoring a shift in the balance of power of an army, which for long spells was held hostage by the Luwero bush-struggle camaraderie.
According to the power dynamics, three groups today represent the future of the UPDF, shoving out the old guard in a latent power struggle. The first is the group that joined in 1985.
It includes the late former Defence ministry permanent secretary, Brig Noble Mayombo, Brig James Mugira, Brig David Muhoozi and Brig Moses Rwakitarate.
Beyond the 1985 group, the other young generation strategically placed in sensitive army positions consists of Brig Paul Lokech, who is currently heading Uganda’s AMISOM contingent in Somalia and Brig Charles Bakahumura, the new CMI head.
It also includes: Col Dick Olum, who is heading the Military Police; Col Godfrey Golooba, who headed the second UPDF AMISOM contingent; and Col Emmanuel Kazahura, administrative officer at the Senior Staff and Command College, Kimaka.
Others are: Lt Col James Birungi, head of artillery in UPDF; Lt Col Henry Isoke, former head of counterintelligence at CMI and now AMISOM intelligence officer; Lt Col Michael Nyarwa, head of the UPDF Marine Unit; and Lt Col Godwin Karugaba, deputy chief of Logistics and Engineering.
This list of other strategically placed soldiers also includes: Col Dominic Twesigomwe, the CMI deputy boss who is now attending a military course at the National Defence College, Kenya and army publicists Col Felix Kulayigye, Lieutenant Colonels Paddy Ankunda and Barigye Bahoku.
Hopefuls
But another army source says there are about three groups of a much younger generation compared to the ‘Mayombo 1985 group’ that will provide the future UPDF leadership. One of these groups attended a cadet course in Monduli, Tanzania.
“Intake 37 went to Munduli in 1997 and some of the soldiers in this group are: Lt Col Ddamulira Sserunjogi, director Intelligence, Land Forces; Maj CD Mukasa intelligence officer, first division; Maj Julius Rubakuba, intelligence officer 2nd division and brother to Brig Muhoozi; and Lt Col Bob Ogik, director of the Senior Staff and Command College, Kimaka,” the source revealed.
Later, another cadet group attended the Gaddafi School of Infantry, including Maj Stuart Agaba, former Aide de Camp to the President, now in Somalia; Maj Felix Bishorozi, OC. Special Coy Special Forces Group; and Capt Napoleon Namanya, head of Museveni’s inner-security circle. Others are: Lt Col Emmanuel Ankunda, political commissar fifth division; Lt Col Chris Ogumiraki, Somalia contingent political commissar; Maj Ephraim Mugume, the military assistant to the outgoing Joint Chief of Staff, Maj Gen Robert Rusoke who was recently dropped and sent to head Uganda’s new embassy in South Sudan.
Others are: Maj Tanturano Tumuryanze, the chief instructor at Kabamba; Col Tumusiime Katsigazi, a lawyer who heads the Moi Brigade in Nakasongala; and Lt Col Johnson Namanya, a former journalist with The Monitor (now Daily Monitor), who is the administration officer in charge of the UPDF industries in Luwero.
Muhoozi advantage
Lastly, there is the group that trained and graduated alongside the First Son, Brig Muhoozi. These soldiers, most of them fresh and effervescent Makerere University graduates, trained at Kasenyi, Kaweweta, Kabamba and completed their cadet course at the Ghaddafi School of Infantry.
They included: Muhoozi’s deputy, Col Sabiiti Magyenyi; Lt Col Dan Kakono, the commanding officer of the tank battalion in SFC; and Maj Charity Bainababo, who is the ADC to the First Lady.
