Wow, a bare faced lie, rapidly disproved in the post, but the idiot @JonathanBrash doubles down, even saying he didn't vote, which was disproved again. When will @UKLabour stop blatently lying to the public.
Replying to @ConspiracyHeroX
Never been any such vote. No matter how much the Russian bots push the lie.

It isn't Islamophobia Awareness Month. It is Remembrance Month. You know for the people who fought and died for this country so your ilk could sit on your arses with the comments turned off on benefits. Tosser.
This Islamophobia Awareness Month, we must shine a light on the abhorrent hatred and discrimination Muslims continue to face. In the last year alone, religious hate crimes targeting Muslims rose by 15% in England and Wales. This is utterly unacceptable. London will always stand against hatred, prejudice and discrimination.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
UK security agencies still assess Islamist extremism as the largest terrorism threat. MI5's Islamist-related caseload remains roughly 75% of its counter-terrorism work, according to recent threat assessments. isdglobal.org/digital-dispat…

Slavery was an evil in which people from every continent and region participated. We should be honest about the whole history, not select the parts that are politically convenient today, especially given Britain's leading role in ending the transatlantic slave trade. If Caribbean countries are asking Britain for a formal apology for Britain’s role in the transatlantic slave trade, will they also be asking the same of the descendants of African kingdoms, rulers and merchants who captured, sold and profited from the trade? On demands for reparations, whether through cash or debt relief, we have been down this track before. Twenty-five years ago, Jubilee 2000, Drop the Debt and Make Poverty History argued that cancelling the debts of poorer countries would give them a fresh start. More than $100 billion of debt was eventually written off, but many of those countries have since built up even bigger debts. Labour are already spending too much on Britain's welfare state, now is not the time for Andy Burnham to be providing global welfare. There is no reason British taxpayers today should be held financially responsible for things that happened generations before any of us were born. And I have even less patience for political elites in commonwealth countries who don’t know how to make their own citizens prosperous now looking for another opportunity to blame Britain. As Prime Minister, Andy Burnham should be Britain’s greatest defender. Instead, he is writing articles saying we need to confront our history (as if we haven't done enough of that) and considering another formal historical apology. Tony Blair already expressed Britain’s deep sorrow and regret for our role in the slave trade nearly twenty years ago. There is no need to do so again. This is all another navel-gazing distraction. The Commonwealth should be looking forward, not endlessly backwards. That means economic partnerships to make us all richer and deeper military and security cooperation against common threats. If every Commonwealth summit becomes an exercise in presenting Britain with demands for cash then we need to start asking if it is worth the effort.

Love this, nice and clean that creates a positive story with a message at the end. Yes, its AI, but this style and fluidity takes time to perfect.🫡 @antrofrog_

Home Office just opened new “capped” sponsorship routes for refugees. 😡 Initial host countries: Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Kenya, Malaysia, Pakistan, Uganda. No nationality restrictions — so Afghans, Iranians, Syrians, Yemenis etc. who are registered in those places can be brought in. Same countries the FCDO tells British people not to travel to. First arrivals autumn 2027. This needs to stop. 🛑

The electorate aren’t goldfish. Our memories are long enough to recall June 2024, when you declared that trans-identified men with penises should be able to use women’s public bathrooms. It took a Supreme Court ruling to force you to uphold women’s rights, and now you pose as our bold champion? Please.
The time for talk has long passed. This government is putting its money where its mouth is when it comes to supporting women and girls. We'll back practical action to confine misogyny to the history books - in public services, workplaces, and online. theguardian.com/society/2026…

Just WoW, disgusting action from @JohnHealey_MP and @downingstreet. You obviously don't have the confidence in your budget if you need to redact the official copy you send to the leader of the opposition.
Budget. It’s protocol for the government to send the leader of the opposition a copy of the budget during the morning. Badenoch just thanked Healey for advanced sight of the speech but pointed out it was heavily redacted. Obviously intentional to make it as difficult as possible for her to reply. Poor show.

My vote on Brexit was affected by disinformation. I voted Remain because I was told if Leave won there would be terrible consequences. The BoE Governor told me he would raise interest rates - he lowered them. The Chancellor said he'd have an emergency budget - he didn't. The Treasury said unemployment would go up - it went down. Goldman Sachs and others said they would pull out of Britain - they spent billions on new HQs The Chief Executive of the NHS Alliance said there would be an epidemic of super-gonorrhoea. As for foreign interference - The EU, the US and Irish Presidents etc etc all weighed in on the side of Remain.

🚨 LABOUR BETRAYS BRITISH SPECIAL FORCES VETERANS TO WIN FAVOUR WITH BRUSSELS! Every single veteran in this country deserves to know how Andy Burnham and his ministers are stabbing British soldiers in the back. Four of the Army's most senior retired generals have just blown the whistle on Northern Ireland Secretary Sir Chris Bryant. They revealed that Labour is ramming through legislation stripping legal protections from troops who served in Northern Ireland, reopening brave soldiers to endless vexatious legal hounding. Why is the government doing this to men who fought on the frontline against terror? To pander to Dublin and butter up the European Union as part of their desperate Brexit reset. Former Chief of the General Staff Sir Peter Wall warned that our special forces veterans are being treated as expendable pawns just to appease foreign politicians. While convicted IRA terrorists walked free under historic agreements, elderly British soldiers are being thrown to the legal wolves so Labour ministers can look good in Brussels. Any government willing to sacrifice the men who risked their lives for this nation just to win pats on the back from foreign eurocrats is completely morally bankrupt. Retweet this immediately so every military family in Great Britain sees this disgraceful betrayal. 🇬🇧🔥

Burnham wants an honest conversation about why British bills are among the highest in Europe. He never mentions what the energy companies already told Parliament. • EVEN IF WHOLESALE PRICES HIT ZERO BY 2030, BILLS COULD STILL BE WHERE THEY ARE TODAY BECAUSE NON-COMMODITY COSTS KEEP RISING • ELECTRICITY PRICES ARE ON TRACK TO BE ABOUT 20% HIGHER IN FOUR OR FIVE YEARS EVEN IF WHOLESALE PRICES HALVE • NON-COMMODITY COSTS ARE ALREADY ADDING ROUGHLY £300 TO A TYPICAL BILL • POLICY COSTS ON ELECTRICITY BILLS ARE ALREADY OVER £20 BILLION A YEAR AND STILL CLIMBING Russia and Iran push up prices everywhere. They do not explain why ours stay higher. The difference is policy. Those charges are green levies, renewable subsidies, network upgrades for electrification, and payments to switch wind off when it is surplus. They sit on the bill whether gas is expensive or free. The industry was asking government to get them under control. The claim that bills are high only because of global fossil markets does not survive that evidence. The government could cut those costs now. It could be honest about what is driving the gap. It will not. Burnham, like Starmer, treats net zero as non-negotiable while households and businesses face record prices. That is a choice, and it is unforgivable. Watch the hearing. The numbers are not from campaigners. They are from the companies sending the bills.
I want to be honest about how we’ve got to a place where British billpayers are paying some of the highest energy costs in Europe. Over the past 40 years, we’ve given up control of our necessities, outsourced our essentials and privatised the basics. Water, transport, housing. And of course, energy. Now the public are paying the price. We haven’t invested in the infrastructure we need. Conflict overseas has pushed up energy costs and it’s hurting our businesses and families. That’s why we need to take back greater control of our energy system. This week, I announced Great British Grid, which will speed up connections and push down bills. We’re also giving mayors, local leaders and communities a stronger role. With funding for People’s Power projects, communities will be able to build solar panels on libraries and town halls, hydro schemes in rivers or publicly owned windfarms on local land. But it’s not just energy we need stronger public control over. It’s also water, housing, transport and care. So we’re repealing the ban on public ownership of water companies. We’re building more council homes than this country has seen since the end of World War Two. We’re reforming the leasehold system so families aren’t squeezed for every penny. And we’re opening up home ownership for first time buyers who can’t rely on the bank of mum and dad. This week I also announced my determination to introduce a National Care Service, to put people above profit and to give pensioners peace of mind. Together, we’ll rewire the country from top to bottom so that it works for all people in all places. That is the only way to put Britain back on the right path. It’s the only way to put power back in people’s hands. And it’s the only way we will bring hope again.

Everyone knows we British are proud of our culture, our land, our history, our resilient people and especially our dogs! Some call us far right for enjoying the simple pleasures and values that we were brought up with. Like country pubs and walks with our dogs and a good old gossip. So this one is for you Jenny Riddell Carpenter. Hopefully you will grow a sense of humour that increasingly appears to be seriously lacking in liberal far left socialists.
