New Brunswick’s refusal to develop its massive shale gas reserves while relying on federal transfers (largely funded by Alberta and Saskatchewan’s resource revenues) for 40% of its provincial budget is pure hypocrisy.

Let me tell you something absolutely BONKERS from last night’s midterms…
Democrat Ericka Lomick just “won” Texas House District 93 despite being a convicted felon who suspended her campaign months ago.
She pleaded guilty in 2011 to federal charges including mortgage-fraud conspiracy, bank fraud, and money laundering. Her sentence? 63 months in federal prison.
On her candidate paperwork, she checked the box claiming she had not been finally convicted of a felony. After her criminal record surfaced in September, she suspended her campaign and stopped running.
But Texas election deadlines had already passed, so her name remained on the ballot for both the regular general election and the special election.
And voters still elected her by roughly 51–49%.
Here’s the kicker: Under Texas law, a final felony conviction generally makes someone ineligible to hold office unless they’ve been pardoned or had their disabilities released.
Meaning she can’t actually serve. Her “victory” simply creates a vacancy and triggers yet another special election.
A convicted federal fraudster who quit campaigning still got elected to the Texas House.
Let that absolutely sink in.

The Liberal government chose an American company over the Commissionaires for CRA security, freezing out Canadian veterans. Carney had the chance to fix it and and voted no.

🚨 #UPDATE: Additional details have been released regarding the shooting at the Citibank building in Tampa, Florida.
At 12:12 p.m., the first marked law enforcement unit arrived on scene and entered the building.
At 12:15 p.m., an armed security guard employed by Citibank engaged the suspect in the cafeteria of the building. The two exchanged gunfire, and the suspect was shot. He was transported to Tampa General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Investigators say the suspect drove over several medians, crossed a grassy area, breached a secured fence surrounding the building, and crashed into an outdoor seating area where multiple people were having lunch.
After the vehicle came to a stop, the suspect exited carrying a rifle and approached a female victim, who was shot. She is the one confirmed victim in this incident.
Her identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The suspect's identity is still being confirmed and has not yet been released.
This incident involved two shooters: the suspect and the Citibank armed security guard who engaged him.
