Kid was our leading hitter this summer. Great bat to ball skills. As he continues to grow into his body and get after it in the weight room he will continue to get better. Sky is the limit!!

Sounds familiar
We’ve all seen it. A player struggles for one, two, three years in a program or organization, gets traded or transfers, and suddenly looks like a different player. Same person. Same player. Same talent. Same makeup. Yet they walked in and produced. Something clicked. What changed? The Player or The Environment? Talent doesn’t flourish in a vacuum, it flourishes in an environment where it’s seen. Where a staff builds a culture, and creates an environment the player connects into, instead of one he’s constantly bracing against. Tools and skill level were always there. What changed was whether the environment allowed those tools to show up; both physically and mentally. Before writing off a player who isn’t producing, look at the environment around him first. Sometimes the most talented, well-intentioned player simply needs somewhere different to stand — not somewhere different to be. The talent was never the question. The environment usually is.

ATTN: Serious baseball players who are trying to get to the next level 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
College coaches can’t always see you play in person, so your video has to give them the clearest possible picture of who you are as a player. The right angles. The right info. Quality and clear video. Keep it simple.

The overwhelming majority, and I mean the overwhelming majority, in the 99% range are not, and I'll repeat, are not being recruited by the school that invites them to their camp or showcase. Your value to them is your money and only your money.

Parents, if you don’t follow Coach Beede you need to.
The odds are not the point. The habits your son builds chasing them are. Discipline, failure, recovery, showing up anyway. Those transfer to every room he will ever walk into.

I tell my younger parents all the time. My focus is to make sure they still love it at 16.
The best ten-year-old in your league has almost no edge at sixteen. The body changes. The early bloomer levels off, the late one catches up and passes him. What lasts is the boy who still loves it at fourteen. Protect that first. The talent sorts itself out later.

Bingo
When players realize they're only fooling themselves and their mama and daddy. Coaches are rarely fooled. They know who isn't addicted to the weight room, conditioning and caloric intake. and Know who works their asses off and who doesn't. Pretenders are addicted to the path of least resistance, the easy way and think they're fooling coaches. Contenders pay the price to be able to run through the wall and leave no doubt.

Kid can swing it.
Parker Wells ('29,SC)⬇️ Balanced stance with wide base and quiet load. Well-sequenced swing as back hip whips barrel thru the zone for 1B UTM. #BlackBear 👤 play.ps-baseball.com/player-…

I watch a lot of HS and Travel Baseball and here’s what gets evaluated that most players/coaches/understand: 1. Catch Play - how do you treat “getting loose” before a game? Is there meaning to it or are you just throwing to throw…. 2. Ground Balls between innings - 7-3-21 7 inn, 3 GBs/inn, 21 reps/game. How do you treat those? How are your throws? 3. On Deck Reps - What are you doing to prepare for your AB? You have three responsibilities. 1. Time the Pitcher, 2. Communicate w/base runners 3. Relay location to hitter. You’re not there to “get loose” 4. Response to Failure - how do you respond to a Strikeout, an error, a bad call, giving up a bomb? 5. Communication - Are you talking between pitches, directing cutoffs, helping teammates w/ pitcher tendencies, etc. 6. Competitiveness In Non Game Situations sprinting on and off the field, backing up bases, prep steps, moving with hitters tendencies, does every pitch matter? These are the aspects of the game that are often taken for granted but make a huge difference for your evaluation.

I’m telling you guys, this kid is a no doubter at the next level. As he gets bigger, stronger and faster he will only going to continue to rise..
Honored to be ranked among The Diamond Prospects’ Top 10 Middle Infielders in the Class of 2029. A lot of work still to do, but excited for what’s ahead and ready to keep climbing. @NBeeco @Baseball_PVHS @diamondprospect
