Festejan porque le bajan el precio a los medicamentos regulados, pero no cuentan nada de que los pacientes ni siquiera están recibiendo los medicamentos.
@AyalaCarlOzarco

Why do richer economies have more very large firms? This paper shows that the upper tail of the firm size distribution thickens as economies grow. A model of idea search explains why, showing how growth itself can produce rising concentration.

Austrian economics is a scientific endeavor; libertarianism is political philosophy - neither of them advance when folks treat like a ‘movement’ and engage in the political game of banning folks for disagreements. It is just self defeating if the goal is to advance economic science and our understanding of a free society.
Just for the record, as a libertarian I have been persuaded by arguments and historical evidence to be anti-war, pro-immigration, free trade domestically and internationally, bodily autonomy, and freedom of thought. I also think its incumbent on us who advocate for radical libertarian policies to demonstrate that private citizens can through voluntary association effectively address the hardest cases of social ills. Only with this demonstration in hand can we persuasively argue that the government can be discharged of that responsibility. That is why science and philosophical inquiry are at the core of our endeavor, not litmus tests and loyalty oaths.
Especially young people please read this and consider what type of thinker you want to be.

This is a really astonishing claim:
Students in Mississippi & Louisiana score higher on reading tests than students in California & New York despite spending way less money per pupil and having higher child poverty rates.
Decided to double check the data because, if true, this should be alarming for blue state leaders.
And yup, it checks out.
Reading performance (NAEP 2024, Grade 4 reading, average scale score):
Mississippi: 219
Louisiana: 216
New York: 215
California: 212
Child poverty (SAIPE; “estimated percent of people age 0–17 in poverty,” 2023):
Louisiana: 25.2%
Mississippi: 24.3%
New York: 18.6%
California: 15.0%
Per-pupil spending (public K–12 “current expenditures per pupil,” FY2023, inflation-adjusted to FY2023 dollars)
New York: $29,588
California: $18,568
Louisiana: $14,822
Mississippi: $12,238
It should be unacceptable to spend that much more taxpayer money while delivering worse results for students.
If Democrats want to stay relevant, and to deliver for the public, they cannot wait for unions to change. They need to break more often with their friends.

My column on Venezuela in @TheEconomist
“Prosperity does not come from oil, decrees or even benevolent rulers. It comes from rights. Rights create private property. Rights create security. Rights create debate. Rights allow people to invest, to innovate, to dream—and to transform reality. Take rights away, and society withers. Restore them, and recovery is possible.”
