Q: Who have you voted for in the past?
Voter: I’ve voted for Donald Trump, I’ve voted for Greg Abbott. Republican my whole life.
Q: So why are you switching teams?
Voter: I am seeing what we need. This is what America needs. This is what Texas needs. We need someone like James Talarico.
Q: And you don’t think Ken Paxton can deliver?
Voter: Oh no, I don’t think so at all. I think he’s a criminal. And we don’t need someone like that representing Texas.
Their coping skills are bad man
On Saturday, @KenPaxtonTX will still receive my vote.
And after receiving more than 300 comments on my last post, I'm more convinced than ever. Out of 300+ comments, ONE person offered a serious, substantive argument. ONE.
Most of what I got?
Recycled memes, personal attacks, anonymous and fake accounts calling me fake, and the usual self-righteous lectures from the Karl Rove/Bush wing of the Republican Party and people whose party can't even define what a woman is.
Apparently, some people still haven't gotten over the fact that John Cornyn lost his own primary.
Here's the thing...
I don't need a perfect candidate.
Never have.
We're imperfect people voting for imperfect people.
As Christians, we're called to be salt and light.
Salt preserves and slows decay while light exposes darkness.
And when I look at the records of Ken Paxton and James Talarico, that's the standard I'm applying.
This is bigger than one man.
Bigger than hurt feelings over a primary election.
And certainly bigger than whether you personally LIKE a candidate.
The Declaration of Independence reminds us that governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed.
We The People are responsible for the direction of our government.
And if Texas falls, we don't get to blame anyone but ourselves.
You can disagree with my vote.
You can challenge my reasoning.
Hell, you can try to prove me wrong.
But insults aren't arguments, memes aren't evidence, and throwing a tantrum doesn't make your position any more legitimate.
Ken Paxton is running for U.S Senate…. These are real voters by the way.
Beautiful day to vote early and vote for Ken Paxton for Texas Senate.
We need strong Christian republicans to fix the issues in Texas! #KenPaxton

Elon Musk donated $500k to Greg Abbott’s campaign, and then Greg Abbott gave him a $2B tax break.
It pays to be a Greg Abbott donor. That’s who he works for- not us.

You got no receipts
I had an interview booked earlier this year with @jamestalarico
He called our station and asked for airtime
When he found out I was going to ask challenging questions he blew it off
Talarico doesn’t want to debate Paxton because he will lose
Then force the DGA to give her CASH
Texas is in play-and my friend Gina Hinojosa can WIN. She's leading Abbott in the polls. But polls don't win elections.
Investment and organizing do.
Now is the time to go ALL IN on Gina. Let's give her the resources to finish the job and flip Texas blue! GIVE HERE: secure.actblue.com/donate/ad…
This ad promotes drug abuse, mocks the gay community, peer pressured pressure. This is literally what they taught kids not do in anti drug classes in high school.

Every time James Talarico makes meaningful strides to engage with Black Texans, out-of-state talking twitter heads start posting increasingly aggressive attacks on Jasmine Crockett to cause division.
Jasmine isn’t on the ballot. Let’s focus our energy on defeating Paxton and electing the first Democrat to represent Texas in more than 30 years!

Texas has the nation’s third-largest Asian American electorate. In Tarrant County, AAPI neighbors are showing up, speaking out and demanding a seat at the table.
They’ve helped us build a stronger community through sharing their culture, starting businesses, and giving back.
Shoutout to @jamestalarico for hitting each corner of the state
Lmao. No we are not forgiving them for murdering people.
Replying to @ABC
Dear Speaker Jeffries, Please, please, do not continue with that line of hate and revenge. Sometimes people do bad things, yes, but sometimes, also, it is good to forgive others as they forgive us. People are humans, OK? They need to be cut some slack, so they have enough resources to start doing good things. About half the things that the right has accomplished, its brag list, is alright, good, and needs to be conserved, even though it is oriented right. There is good and bad in all of us, in everything, OK? Are you a big man? Big enough to see that others have some goods that we don't have? That Republican, that Trumper, that MAGA voter, has a Father and a Mother, who created that person in love, raised them the best that they could, and has standing hopes for them to do well. We are ONE team, not TWO. Help other people achieve their goals, and perhaps, they will help me achieve MY goals. As one former President said, We are not red people, or blue people, but red white and blue people.
