From agent sessions to a model powering a voice agent.
Using VoiceRun CLI and our post-training platform, I walk through labeled data, LoRA SFT, evaluations, deployment, and live inference—the foundation for an ongoing improvement loop.

Time to add back the Cambridge @ycombinator batch !! 😄
The academics think the founder who raised at $2B valuation can pay but they can’t
You are a founder who owns 50% of your company and you have 20x voting rights. You owe 5% on $10B in the asset seizure tax. You owe $500M of your paper $1B. Find me a way to get a loan for half your illiquid net worth. You cant.
The asset seizure proponents are dishonest and also it’s not a 5% tax on startups. It’s a 50% tax in this simple case.
People out here thinking Alakazam at QB is Manning/Brees/Brady, but they don’t realize he’s actually @Lj_era8
Both buying and selling real estate agents became the fastest growing companies in the bay. 🤯
Both booked$15mm revenue aka $180mm runrate.
The accountants prefer to book the full sale revenue on 2.5% margin instead of calling them brokers fees.
San Francisco home sale in the inner richmond / lake street at $7M over asking price
Real customer interactions can fuel a virtuous cycle: better data, better models, better voice-agent experiences.
In this video, I introduce the post-training platform we’re building at @voicerunnin, then use one example to explain SFT, DPO, and GRPO.
End-to-end training runs will come next. Stay tuned!

Maybe just me but seems an interesting admission that prediction markets threaten casinos (but are not gambling) and that consumers require protection from prediction markets.
I find it baffling that it is considered backroom and shady to pay taxes to a state. Isn’t it the opposite? Was it also backroom and shady when Illinois jammed prediction market tax language into their budget with less than 30 minutes to review? Where is the commentary on that.
Legislators are the ones who decide where tax revenue is allocated, not companies! Perhaps next time a story like this is written, they learn the legislative process instead of creating false narratives about how it works.
If state legislators want to dedicate PM tax revenue to specific services, go for it!
And why is the casino industry opposed to prediction markets paying taxes and states collecting revenue? Let’s be honest about what’s really at stake - this isn’t about protecting consumers. It’s about protecting their monopolies.

Not every voice AI turn needs a large model.
Faster voice AI with three cascaded tiers:
1. Perfect match
2. Fine-tuned SLM
3. LLM fallback

8-sleep, but it's a longsleeve tshirt and plugs into your office desk. No more "office is too cold", "office is too hot"
Love to see it. Been a day one fan!
Today, @lhyTHU and I are excited to announce that Subconscious has raised $5.1M to build the inference platform for long-horizon agents.
Subconscious (@subsysdev) was born out of MIT research and frustration that the inference engines are wildly inefficient at tasks that consume lots of tokens over many steps, AKA agents. So, we designed a system specifically for those workloads, and it couldn't have come at a better time.
Inference usage is growing 2,500% year over year, agents are consuming the vast majority of those tokens, and open models have nearly closed the gap on closed models. Every megatrend is pointed towards vastly more distributed agents, but they are still too slow, inefficient, and unreliable for many companies and use cases.
Not anymore. Using the same chips and the same models, our inference system makes agents 2x faster, 50% cheaper, and up to 10% more accurate on workloads that consume over 200k tokens. These gains are just the tip of the iceberg of what you can optimize when you design an inference system top to bottom with long-horizon agents as the primary workload. If you're using coding agents or building agentic products, Subconscious is another stepwise gain in performance and efficiency. Developers can get started today using our API at subconscious.dev
AI proliferation is a polarizing topic, but we believe it's going to be extremely positive for the world. Our mission: "allow everyone to do meaningful work and automate the rest without selling your soul". We think reliable, fast, and inexpensive agents will allow people to focus on problems that matter, automate all the monotonous work in between, and then leave plenty of time to enjoy their lives. That's the beautiful world what agents can bring to us, and we deeply believe you shouldn't have to sell your soul to get there.
We've been operating for over a year and a half, but today we're finally excited to announce our fundraise, launch our managed inference service, and share that we're growing the team.
$5.1M is our total amount raised to date across our pre-seed and seed round. Both rounds were led by @massventures, with participation from @FoothillVenture, @UnderscoreVC , Oak Seed Ventures, @companyonvc, @theagentfund, @e14fund, and Taihill Venture. A special thanks to Stacy Swider who believed in us more than anyone else from day one.

4 reasons VoiceRun chose Modulate for VoiceScore:
1. Diarization that catches everyone
AI agent, human agent, customer - even a kid yelling in the background. Every voice gets tagged.
2. Word-level timestamps
Skip the 25-minute call scrub. Jump straight to the exact moment you need.
3. Emotion beyond the transcript
Because what someone says isn't always the same as how they say it.
4. Pricing that scales with usage
Low enough to analyze every call - not just the ones you can afford to review.

Serious Boston founders deserve a home. We built one @build617
21 startups Free workspace No equity or fees.
This Thursday, we’re celebrating the launch of BUILD617 HQ 🎉
Sept 24 • 5 to 7 PM • Downtown Boston
Come meet the founders building what’s next. DM me for an invite.
Nothing binds or breaks a team like Overcooked. When @typesafe launched Jev and demonstrated it could play Doom, I needed to know whether it could play a coop cooking game. And when it could, I needed to know if I could direct the chefs. I can. Here’s the VoiceRun Jev Demo.
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI?
I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev
• 20-200x faster
• 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free)
• Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions
AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution
Jev is going to be a pretty big deal for Voice Agents. Most agent builders out their live in a prompt-and-pray world. Latency gets long. And their devs play whack-a-mole. We build voice agents as software and it's a perfect fit for Jev. voicerun.com/developers
The game was in 3JS by Codex (appreciate you and the team @thsottiaux - only took ~30% of my weekly)
The voice agent platform and STT is @voicerunnin , the voices are @inworld, and the Head chef AI logic is GPT Luna.
We used @HyperFrames_ & @ElevenLabs to produce the video.
