In 1982, Lebanon stood at a historic crossroads. A window opened for peace with Israel; an agreement that could have spared generations of Lebanese from war, instability, and foreign domination. But that moment was lost, not because the people didn’t want peace, but because our nation was shackled by external influences, sectarian divisions, and the dominance of militias and agendas that did not serve the interests of Lebanon.
Today, in 2025, we are once again facing a similar moment; one that is perhaps even more urgent, and potentially more transformative. Lebanon is exhausted. Our people are drained by economic collapse, political paralysis, and a loss of national sovereignty. We cannot afford to miss this opportunity like we did in 1982.
PEACE is not submission. Peace is strength. It is sovereignty. It is the reclaiming of our national dignity. Contrary to what some may fear-monger, Israel does not have territorial ambitions in Lebanon. There are no designs to occupy, no desire to control. Israel seeks security and normal relations, just as we seek stability and the freedom to build a prosperous future.
A peace accord between Lebanon and Israel (under a framework that respects our unique identity and historical role in the region) would not be a betrayal. It would be an act of national liberation. It would be a #CedarAccords: rooted in our own history, our own values, and our own interests.
Let us not let fear or outdated ideologies rob our children of the future they deserve. We must rise above the narratives of the past, and embrace the promise of a new dawn.
The door to peace is open; this time, let us walk through it.

Only fools try to build a state in a land where they've become a minority, beside the majority that drove them out. The foolishness of the Maronites of the Lebanese Republic is unmatched.
In Lebanon this week, statues were smashed at a Maronite cemetery in Zgharta. A Christian stronghold under the Frangie political clan. Fanning sectarian flames is evil. I left Lebanon at 15 as civil war broke out. Once certain lines are crossed ..
That's why I wrote Not On Our Watch. Not as a history lesson. As a warning.
We will never be strangers in our own land, and we will never let a stranger be trusted with it. We are the sons of this land, not just its keepers and caretakers. Our most basic duty is to govern it ourselves, with justice and equality for all the peoples who live here with us. #MountLebanon

You don't dictate where aid to our village in Southern Mount Lebanon comes from. If it comes from the Israeli army, we take it openly and proudly with nothing to hide. Hezbollah is the occupier in our land, not Israel. Stay the fuck away from us.

If Iranians want freedom from the mullahs, they have to topple that regime themselves. No outsourcing the fight. Blood will be spilled. Freedom costs that.

In today’s lesson, we’re going to compare Syriac and Hebrew to show how similar the two languages are.

As long as the eastern Mediterranean coast is still speaking a form of Arabic, it means it is still under occupation.

The only way to de-Arabize the Maronite nation is to choose the language farthest from Arabic. In our case, we the Maronites, Syriac has the greatest influence on our culture. From this Syriac we can create a modern vernacular exclusive to Mount Lebanon.
And here is what many people mistakenly debate: whether we spoke Syriac or not, or any form of Aramaic or not. It is not important how our language looked 2,000 years ago, because that is not what we are reviving. We are not reviving a language anyway. We are making one, drawn from what we have learned and read most across 1,400 years of Maronite history.
And we are not stopping. We are opening Ulpanos to teach Syriac Maronite, because a people can never be truly liberated while they are still speaking the language of the occupier.

I wrote in my book back in 2023 that in multicultural societies Poeple coalesce and vote not around the quality of the matter (outcome) or its governance (process) or the merit of the argument (rationality) but on the ethnic identity of the contenders.
Ethnic-based vote means, in effect, the weaponization of democracy, (it being the tyranny of the 51%) for the purpose of ethnic overreach and cultural hegemony .
What used to be a battle of ideas becomes a battle of beliefs. Rationality is replaced by identity. To get a majority It is no longer about which rational arguments do you put forward but how many siblings do you have.
An ethnic-based allegiance and vote turn ethnic demography into the ultimate tool to control and harness power. Ethnic fabric being almost static over time or at least slow moving, with it goes the concept of “alternance” ie alternating majority, the possibility that on the next elections the majority could shift as voters change their mind, voted differently because of the topic itself or a novel rational argument, or an empirical improved policy outcome or a due process. Alternating power is the bedrock of democracy and multicultural “democracy” tares it apart.
