I’ve been here since close to the beginning, and I’m NOT leaving now. I’ve seen Twitter at it’s best, and at it’s worst (and used to write about both for one of the largest Twitter-focused blogs). I welcome thoughtful discourse. Let’s see what happens.
So, I’m out to dinner. And while I expected the geod, the Acme dynamite “blasting machine” was a surprise.
I’ve been experimenting w/ Hermes & Qwen 3.6 35B on my MacBook M4 Pro but it’s not great. I installed Q 3.8 27B and it froze my Mac. Rebooted & asked Hermes to fix it. It’s been arguing with itself for an hour. Fascinating. Frustrating. And scary.
Great advice about filmmaking.
6 thoughts on AI filmmaking:
1. It helps to have a distinctive style so you don’t look generically “AI” or like a slightly off live-action film.
2. Do things that are different. That aren’t coming out of Hollywood.
3. Lots of people are chasing movies. I think that’s ahead of the tech now, except in very exceptional cases.
4. Many people are assuming they’re writers. But great writer-directors are quite rare. Is it possible that you should collaborate?
5. Pick a format and b model that make sense. Right now, I think that’s vertical series.
6. If you’re doing a series, do you have to direct every episode? If you collaborate, what if you could go twice as fast?

I’m having 4 “extra large” Nellies Free Range brand (no antibiotics, hormones, etc.) eggs for breakfast. But while cracking them open I got 10 yolks! 2x2 and 2x3! I’ve occasionally gotten twins, but never 2 twins, and NEVER triplets in the same batch!? Should I be worried?

Claude Code feels completely different once you install this.
Anthropic quietly released an official plugin called claude-code-setup and it basically turns Claude Code from “pretty good” into an actual AI dev environment.

Devastation in Venezuela. Absolutely horrific.
Aerial footage filmed from a helicopter early Thursday morning shows the scale of damage caused to the Northern Venezuelan coastal cities of Maiquetía and La Guaira, following yesterday’s pair of major earthquakes, which each measured a 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude and struck just to the west of Caracas. Most if not all multistory buildings appear to have suffered severe structural damage, with many having collapsed, likely leaving tens if not hundreds of thousands without shelter, food, and water across Northern Venezuela.
Anyone know what’s up with Google Gemini? I have Pro, which used to be fast, but its responses have become increasingly slowwww.
