The depth of this is huge… it says so much in so few words about decades of policy that consistently deprioritized American kids. Trade jobs became saturated with Mexican labor (BLS data shows Hispanics, mostly Mexican-origin, at 19-27% of construction and extraction work), while STEM fields filled with Indian workers via H-1B visas (Indians take ~70% of them). Labeling “America First” as xenophobic or nationalist when native-born children face crowded career paths isn’t analysis… it’s deflection.
