Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas called Hamas "son of bitches" and demanded them to release captives held in Gaza, calling it the main factor fuelling Israeli attacks on the territory, during a conference in Ramallah.

Just as I would expect from you Emma! Your charity and compassion on the death of the Pope are not going unnoticed in the community. This is the leadership which I know our community craves. Thanks. Eamonn Mallie.
Pope Francis was held in high regard and admiration by so many, not only here in Northern Ireland, but across the rest of the United Kingdom, and Ireland.
I know that his loss will be felt deeply, particularly by his church and the many congregations here and throughout the globe.
I offer my sincere condolences to all those who mourn the passing of Pope Francis.
May God give comfort at this time of grieving.

Don’t call it a “united Ireland” when you are doing everything you can to divide us.
Don’t call it a “New Ireland” when you engage in sectarian rhetoric from the old Ireland.
Don’t call it a “conversation” when you are only interested in preaching to your own echo chamber.

Agree with @MichealMartinTD a truly reconciled society means far more than just setting out plans for a potentially divisive binary border poll. It's far more challenging too !
Micheál Martin once had a simple "Brits out" view of Northern Ireland. Now he sets out a radical alternative. Dismissing even planning for a 2030 border poll, the Taoiseach tells me uniting Ireland constitutionally is less important than reconciliation.
