It was such a delight to visit @xiaolin422's group at the @CAS__Science in Beijing! @dianagdlc and I presented our recent work, made some new friends and reconnected with some old @TheSainsburyLab colleagues. Such a nice experience!

New research. Conveniently, Marchantia has relatively few transcription factors. Yet, we need to leverage on that at the family scale to have a more comprehensive picture. In this paper, we focused on ERFs, the second largest TF family. #PlantScience biorxiv.org/content/10.64898…

Now @dianagdlc presenting her beautiful story on effector recognition via molecular mimicry in a barley NLR. Their findings enabled engineering of multiple pathogen recognition in one receptor!

New publication about trap morphogenesis from the lab. We thank the editor and the reviewers for their constructive feedback during the review process which improved the quality of our work. Congrats @ChihYen_Kuo!! We wish you the best of luck for your next chapter in Geneva 🥳
How does a predatory fungus build a trap to capture a nematode? New work by @fungi_worms lab reveals how prey signals reorganize conserved polarity and cytoskeletal machinery to redirect hyphal growth, form a trap, & then switch gears to penetrate the prey hubs.la/Q04BzS4D0

La publicación de este papaer en el que colaboré haciendo MS; para mi es importante, ya que se publicó en una revista especializada en Proteómica y MS reconocida, no hubo comentarios complejos en la parte analítica. En MX se hacen bien las cosas.

Very happy to have been part of the @KamounLab My time there as a predoc was a life changing experience 🙏🏽
This Is What 20 Years of Science Looks Like | Kamoun Lab Tribute
Twenty years. More than a hundred people. One long-running obsession: how plants and their pathogens fight it out.
This is a tribute to everyone who has been part of the Kamoun Lab at The Sainsbury Laboratory, Norwich: students, postdocs, technicians, visitors, collaborators, and friends from all over the world. They did the experiments, argued over the data, and made the lab what it is.
From the Irish potato famine pathogen and blast fungus to effectors, NLR immune receptors, and AI-guided structural biology, the questions kept changing. The spirit didn't.
No captions, no years, no names. Just the people and the science.
