It’s hard to grasp what $TAO actually is.
Just like in the early days of Bitcoin, when asking five people to describe what BTC is, you would get five different answers > we have the same today with Bittensor.
We view Bittensor as a global incentivized problem solving layer powered by game theory and utilizing all the talent in the world. It’s the Linux of data science and technology in general, with one big difference; ‘value’ is added to the equation. Therefore, developers and entrepreneurs that believe in Open Source tech are able to put their skills to the test, solve problems, build applications and monetize them.
It takes years to build sustainable businesses and gain wide spread adoption. Although it might not seem like it from afar, it’s in full force on the network and stellar teams are building the foundation for a new breed of Open Source tech companies.
We can’t wait to see the first killer apps that hit mainstream powered by Bittensor 🚀
Most people still underestimate what $TAO | #Bittensor actually is.
Bittensor is a global, permissionless competition layer for every valuable digital service on earth. And it’s already producing outcomes that traditional companies simply can’t match.
Here’s the simple truth:
When you remove gatekeepers, remove hiring bottlenecks, remove geographic constraints,
and replace corporate hierarchy with open economic incentives — you get a system that outperforms centralized incumbents in both quality and cost.
That is exactly what Bittensor is proving.
For example, look at @MaxScore & @webuildscore Subnet 44 (Score):
their vision-AI models are built by a global network of miners and now deployed in real-world production — from sports analysis to 3,000+ AVIA fuel stations across Europe.
No startup could spin up global compute, data pipelines, and model iteration this fast.
But a decentralized network can.
@zeussubnet Subnet 8 (Weather/Zeus) from @egillwx and @wouterhar is integrating with @WeatherXM, the world’s largest decentralized weather network, to build next-generation forecasting models.
Forecast accuracy isn’t improving because of bureaucratic R&D budgets — it’s improving because thousands of smart contributors worldwide are competing to produce the most accurate predictions.
Subnet 120 (Affine) from @const_reborn runs reinforcement-learning competitions where miners literally battle each other for optimization, producing compression benchmarks and agentic results you won’t see from traditional labs.
Again: competition > management.
This is the part everyone keeps missing:
Bittensor doesn’t reward pure compute.
Bittensor rewards intelligence — measurable performance that provides real value.
It’s a market — a global auction where the best outputs rise to the top, every block, every epoch, forever.
You couldn’t build a unified weather company, AI security company, sports-analysis company, and research lab simultaneously.
But Bittensor did — because it turns every domain into an open competition layer.
And this is why Bittensor is so disruptive:
It’s a worldwide arena where anyone can contribute model weights, data pipelines, training signals, reinforcement strategies, and domain expertise
and get rewarded strictly by real-world performance.
This is the future:
And we’re watching the first one being built right now.
And it’s winning

🚨 Synth (SN50) is proving just how competitive its AI forecasting network really is.
AutoQuant tested leading AI models, including GPT, Claude and Gemini, against 250 financially incentivised forecasting models on Synth.
📊 The results?
• No leading AI model consistently took the top spot.
• The best AI contender achieved just 33% of the top competing miner's reward-equivalent score.
• Synth miners compete on real, unseen market data, not static historical tests.
Why does this matter?
Synth's advantage comes from specialisation and competition. While general LLM models are designed to handle a broad range of tasks, Synth's miners focus specifically on financial forecasting, with rewards tied to their performance.
The results suggest that a network of specialised, financially incentivised models can outperform some of the world's leading AI systems in market forecasting.

Etao is live on Bittensor!
Subnet owners can now set their own alpha emission split between owner, validators and miners) instead of the fixed 18/41/41 that was set by @opentensor prior.
Limits to emissions include:
-Owner 0-33%
-Validators up to 50%
-Miners at least 33%
Root Bittensor: native stakers keep their baseline share, paid off the top of the validator allocation every block.
More flexibility for subnets to reward what they need most, while root stays protected

What is dTAO?
Dynamic TAO, or dTAO, created a market for each Bittensor subnet. Staking $TAO into a subnet buys its alpha token; unstaking sells alpha back into TAO.
Subnet position
There are two parts: the alpha token and the market you use to buy or sell it. Price, liquidity, slippage, emissions, and the subnet’s work all matter before choosing the appropriate allocation.
How dTAO changes exposure
Root TAO = broad network bet.
dTAO = pick one subnet and take on its alpha price, liquidity, and demand.
It's like buying a stock in the S&P 500 rather than the index fund itself.
Alpha tokens and subnet pools
A subnet pool exchanges TAO and that subnet's alpha. A thin pool can move sharply, so the visible price is only a starting point. Review the expected output, price impact, and exit liquidity before signing.
What to examine before buying
Look at liquidity, volume, market cap, holders, emissions, TAO flow, and purpose. High APR won’t save a weak market or a tough exit. Check the team, code, and validators too.
Use Neuralteq to choose an order style
Use the quote to review fees and slippage. DCA spreads entries over time; a limit order waits for a chosen price. After execution, track alpha exposure, concentration, transfers, and open orders alongside the rest of the wallet.

What is Gamma?
A transferable on-chain gift card with a fixed dollar value.
@const_reborn explains at @ExploitSummit:
Burn a subnet’s alpha at an oracle price to mint Gamma. 1 Gamma = $1 of usage on that subnet only.
4 key points:
* Value is fixed after mint. Alpha price moves don’t change it.
* Spendable only on that subnet.
* One-way. No conversion back to alpha.
* Transferable and recorded on-chain.
Instead of buying credits from the subnet’s off-chain system, you buy Gamma. Wallet-signed. Public balances. No signup. For agents, buy-and-deposit is one transaction.
Spending $10 of Gamma means $10 of that subnet’s alpha was bought and burned. Usage and alpha demand are the same event.
Existing credit systems can stay. Optional path, not a replacement.

Bittensor update v468 is live. Root validators can now actively rebalance their baskets, not just direct new yield, but swap alpha they already hold into other subnets.
That’s the last piece of Root Reborn: validators as allocators, accountable to the root stakers who pick them.
If you stake on root your initial TAO is untouched. Only unclaimed yield moves, and its value can change before you claim. You can buy a share of a validator’s whole basket with TAO, that TAO is at risk. Guardrails cap concentration, daily turnover, and short-term price games. Still check claimable balances and who you delegated to.
Also: dust claims are skipped (cheaper claims), and a root claim costs 0.008 TAO after the fee cut.

Overview of the new root staking changes by @const_reborn on Novelty Search yesterday.
New token representation in the form of Beta, which is the overall basket of alpha represented by 1 share that fluctuates based on the yield produced by the basket.
More yield therefore means a higher Beta price = more returns.
Each basket can be quantified as an independent token, but is not currently tradable. @opentensor is now working on making these baskets of alpha tokens tradable.

$TAO is trading around $267 after a 12–14% move into the weekend and a push toward $277 today. Volume and open interest both expanded. Next clean level the market is watching is $300.
We always believed the fresh liquidity would come from the subnets demand and revenue but a new threshold awakens. Canonical $TAO is live on Solana, and launchpads are now pairing memecoins against TAO instead of only SOL.
Early names like $BUTT and $CONST need TAO to trade bringing more liquidity into TAO despite the controversial means. Some of those pools also route fees back into TAO buys.
That is a new retail liquidity surface for Bittensor. Attention is noisy and speculative.
Price still follows real subnet work. Liquidity just got a second door.

@TAOTemplar Hypothesis in Fruition (@Bitcast_network ):
- 🥇First subnet that actually covers miner costs with real revenue.
Outcast (YouTube) + Stitch (X) are both already profitable vs emissions.
- Currently there is ongoing different X segments promoting ecosystems/businesses , including 2 non-Bittensor campaigns which according to @Tom_dot_b are actually bringing in more revenue than the Bittensor ecosystem as suggested on @WeAreSubConnect today.
- Subnet owner wallet is clean (no excessive dumps or shady transfers).
- They haven’t even started selling the data or expanding to other platforms yet, so there is still SO much room for progress.
Proves Bittensor doesn’t have to be pure AI.
- New infrastructure enables bitcasts price to accumulate by having the builders stake Bitcast alpha to launch campaigns.
Honestly these guys have been cooking these past few months and the chart is finally doing them justice. 🚀

If you understand and love $BTC, this is $TAO, the decentralized marketplace.
Bitcoin is a decentralized network where miners verify transactions and get paid in BTC for their work. Bittensor takes that same idea of open participation driven by incentives and applies it to digital work, especially AI. Instead of one shared ledger, Bittensor runs many specialized markets called subnets. Each subnet defines a specific task (like generating text, providing data, or offering compute). People compete to do that work well, and the network rewards them with TAO. No single company owns the intelligence. The network coordinates it through incentives, just as Bitcoin coordinates money without a central bank.
Miners, validators & subnet owners:
Bittensor works because different participants do different jobs. Miners produce useful work, validators judge the quality of that work, subnet owners design the market, and stakers decide where to place trust and capital.
Miners perform the actual work a subnet requests (the decentralized freelancer) - generating model responses, supplying data, compute, storage, predictions, or other infrastructure. They compete for rewards based on how well their output matches the subnet’s incentive design.
Validators evaluate miner outputs and submit scores that determine how incentives are distributed. The best ones also build tools that help the whole ecosystem. Neuralteq runs validator infrastructure while developing a non-custodial platform for subnet research, staking, portfolio tracking, and trading with strong MEV protection. Choosing a validator like us means your stake supports both reliable evaluation and ongoing product development that benefits traders and stakers across the network.
Subnet owners create and maintain the subnet itself. They define the task, design the incentive mechanism, publish the code, set the rules, document everything, and drive demand for the work the subnet produces.

The latest Hash Rate podcast (Ep. 183) with @markjeffrey dives into the goals of achieving the intelligence layer within robots by the @openroboto team (@quack_builder & @FeishiWang) on SN80.
Robotics remains far behind the progress LLMs have achieved. LLMs primarily recognize patterns in text and numbers. Robotic fine tuning must build on true 3D spatial understanding, physics, and real-world dynamics which is a far more complex challenge with scarce data.
As the guests noted, current robot companies excel mainly at the mechanical side (smooth, capable bodies from Tesla, Unitree, Figure and others). Mark Jeffrey mentions that even Tesla Optimus demos are largely “puppeteered” via teleoperation rather than running true autonomous AI brains. Full general autonomy is still a distant goal.
OpenRoboto is tackling the intelligence layer head-on through open public competitions on Bittensor. Starting from the strong π0.5 VLA base, miners fine-tune and submit models evaluated on rigorous, randomized LIBERO-Pro benchmarks. Early results are already compounding: the base has been beaten and replaced multiple times, with success rates rising substantially (from ~0.60 baseline toward 0.85+ on leaderboards) across 100+ submissions. Improvement happens in the open for everyone. This is exactly the kind of verifiable, incentive-aligned progress the network is built for. Strong work from the SN80 team, we are looking forward to see the next stages toward real robot validation.

A phenomenal breakthrough for infrastructure on Bitcast 🔥.
1) What Bitcast is, and how it stimulates marketing with decentralised miners
Bitcast (SN93) is a decentralised creator marketing protocol on Bittensor. It connects brands with creators through performance-based incentives. Unlike other subnets the miners do not need compute or specialized software skills, they fit the roles of creators or influencers online that produce content that fulfils defined campaign briefs on X and YouTube. Validators verify real engagement and influence metrics. Rewards flow on chain via the Bitcast alpha token, aligning incentives so that only measurable, genuine attention is compensated. Bitcast uses AI to efficiently pick up patterns between trusted miners to value good content and make uplift them in the rankings between other miners.
2) What these new changes mean and how this changes the fundamental infrastructure of Bittensor
Stitch3 proved the model. Bitcast is now opening its X mechanism as shared infrastructure. Other teams can build their own creator, ambassador or affiliate products directly on top of Bitcast’s mapping and incentive layers.
This effectively turns Bitcast into foundational infrastructure, a “subnet of a subnet.”
Builders retain full control of their own interface: miners sign up on the builder’s website, campaigns are managed through the builder’s dashboard, and leaderboards carry the builder’s branding. To the end user it feels native; underneath it runs on Bitcast’s infrastructure.
3) How Bitcast benefits and how alpha is recycled
Value accrues back to the subnet by design. To launch a product on the network, builders must stake Bitcast alpha. Every new product and every campaign creates direct demand for alpha, recycling activity into the token and strengthening the underlying subnet economics without Bitcast needing to own every application or customer relationship.
4) Growing revenue and the path to multiple products
Stitch3 (Bitcast’s first product) generated $32k in buybacks last month and is on track to more than double that this month. Stitch3 was the proof of concept. With the infrastructure now open, additional independent organisations will launch their own products on the same rails, multiplying campaign volume and alpha demand beyond what any single team could achieve alone.
5) Open for builders
Bitcast is actively seeking teams that want to build marketing products on this mechanism. If you have a niche, an audience, or a creator-facing product idea and want to leverage Bittensor’s miner incentives, the door is open.
The incentive mechanism works. The commercial model works. Now the infrastructure is being handed to the builders who can scale it further.

Root Reborn is live!
Below we’ll explain what that means for root holders and why Neuralteq is a great validator to choose for these changes.
Here are the changes coming for every $TAO holder on root.
(Firstly for those that do not understand root)
What is Root?
Root (subnet 0) is TAO’s built-in claim on the emissions of every subnet. Stake TAO on root and you own a proportional share of the inflation produced by all 128 subnets.
Root's proportion to network and alpha
5.44M τ ($1.03B) sits on root.
That’s 48.7% of every TAO ever minted and 73% of all staked TAO.
The old problem
Until today, that capital was sterile. Every block, the dividends were force-sold into $TAO the second they arrived.
Which meant 983 τ of permanent sell pressure hitting the pools every day. Root was an unforeseen tax on the entire network.
Root Reborn fixes this
Dividends no longer auto sell.
They now land in on-chain baskets controlled by the root validators you stake to.
At launch the dividends simply accrue in place as subnet alpha, meaning zero selling and zero sell pressure 😊.
Later, validators will set weights so the yield compounds inside the subnets they believe in.
Net flow at the pools: from –983 τ/day → ≈ 0.
What this means for you
Your root stake is no longer just passive yield.
It is now managed capital. The validator’s allocation skill becomes the difference between 6.6% base and real compounding APY.
Why Neuralteq
We are one of the initial most trusted validators on Bittensor.
We have no legacy bias to any subnet.
Our only job is to surface the highest conviction opportunities including the subnets that will actually earn, the ones with real potential, and the ones that deserve capital.
Root is no longer just a parking lot.
It’s now an active allocation layer.
Stake with conviction.
Follow for the signals.
Choose Neuralteq as your validator for the most reliable results.
#bittensor #dtao #neuralteq
Root Reborn is approaching fast, coming Monday looks to be D-Day
As a reminder, this upgrade will convert Root (TAO) dividends and reinvest them across subnets according to each validator’s strategy.
That means validators with the strongest knowledge, execution, and allocation strategy will be best positioned to maximize APY for their nominators.
We’ve been part of the Bittensor ecosystem since the beginning. We know the teams, the technology, and the constantly evolving meta.
Most importantly, we have zero subnet affiliations, allowing us to remain truly independent and objective.
That is our promise when Root Reborn goes live.
Trust is everything.
