I think this is the crux of the problem: "Today, consumer paid penetration for major generative AI services is low: roughly 2–5% of U.S. consumers have active paid personal subscriptions to services like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude (median spend ~$25/month; a small top percentile spends far more)."

@Grok compare and contrast the similarities and differences between the stock market crash of March 2000-March 2003 to today in terms of P/Es, Capex vs. revenue, operating earnings, growth rate of top tech stocks, paying customers for today's AI vs. paying customers for the 2000 crash's internet companies.

The stock market doesn't like it. Trump's veto pen will get a workout.
Let's get on this immediately to preserve democracy. Also, what happened to the judge's order to DOJ to produce all the letters they sent to other states to purge voters like the more publicized letter they sent to California that led to the subpoenas when California refused?
@Grok @DemocracyDocket @ACLU @ACLU_SoCal @NYtimes @GavinNewsom
Replying to @NewThinking2 @krassenstein
Yes, DOJ issued grand jury subpoenas to several LA County Registrar staff (and others in CA counties) requiring Nov. 4 appearance and documents on noncitizen screening methods. Key personnel absence could distract/disrupt oversight amid CA's already lengthy mail-ballot process, though no reports indicate a full halt and officials plan to continue counting as usual.
Recipients can move to quash or delay via federal court (undue burden during elections). A union suit already seeks to block the probes.
Only the Gulf Can End the Iran War foreignaffairs.com/united-st… via @ForeignAffairs
The experienced authors present a credible deconfliction plan that allows both Iran and the U.S. to save lives, resources and face. The Gulf States have to lead to save both and themselves.

This Australian's reply to Trump's rant about “NATO not being there for America” is perfect.
"Mate. You run a country with 600,000 homeless people sleeping on the street tonight. A country where 40% of adults can't cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. A country where insulin costs more than a car payment and people are rationing it to survive. A country where medical debt is the number 1 cause of bankruptcy. A country where women are dying in hospital car parks because doctors are too scared of abortion laws to treat a miscarriage.
You lock up more of your own citizens than any nation on earth. More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea. The land of the free has 2 million people in cages, and a quarter of them haven't even been convicted of anything. They're just too poor to make bail.
Your life expectancy is going backwards. You're the only developed nation where that's happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba's. Your kids do active shooter drills between maths and English while you sell the gunmaker's stock to your mates.
Your minimum wage hasn't moved in 15 years. You've got teachers working 2 jobs and veterans sleeping under bridges and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that didn't attack you.
And you’ve got a convicted felon, adjudicating raping, paedophile protecting, porn star shagging insurrectionist running the biggest dumpster fire war campaign since the Taliban in Afghanistan thanked you very much for losing again.
And you're calling Greenland poorly run?
Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no.
'NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years.
And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess.
So maybe before you start calling other countries poorly run, have a look at your own backyard, you spray-tanned aluminium siding salesman. The only thing poorly run in this picture is your f----- mouth."

Push for Polyamorous Relationships Reaches New York City
nysun.com/article/push-for-p…
This city council bill only has 4 sponsors for now,but would turn every aspect of work and housing upside down. The city would have accommodate multiple wives (husbands too, but in practice, multiple wives for Muslims, Mormons, etc. are more likely). And the taxpayer providing housing will now have to provide additional bedrooms in a multi-bedroom challenged city for any family relationship, defined solely by the participants. Employers would have to provide benefits for multiple spouse and even dozens of children.
And not just accommodate, but not discriminate in any form - large, blended families would have to be accepted at every level so even posting something like this post might be claimed as illegal bias (except I am also a journalist part-time with over 1m views on Opednews.com, a traditionally published book etc., so I am probably protected by the First Amendment).
Every Islamic society that allows polygamy (but not polyandry) has trouble with its young, frustrated, angry young men; a lot of them come to the West where they cause lots of trouble, and now have elected representatives to create the same situation that caused problems in their homelands.
legistar.council.nyc.gov/Leg…
Behind a paywall, but this is the gist:
"A city agency is hereby created with power to eliminate and prevent discrimination from playing any role in actions relating to employment, public accommodations, and housing and other real estate, and to take other actions against prejudice, intolerance, bigotry, discrimination, sexual harassment, and bias-related violence or harassment as herein provided; and the commission established hereunder is hereby given general jurisdiction and power for such purposes.
§ 2. Section 8-102 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new definition of “family or relationship structure” in alphabetical order to read as follows:
Family or relationship structure. The term “family or relationship structure” means involvement or noninvolvement in any romantic, physical, or emotional relationship that is not prohibited by any applicable law, without regard to the number of persons in such relationship, such as a nonmonogamous family or relationship, single-parent family, stepfamily, or multi-generational household."
It's surely no coincidence this bill is coming up now, with a Muslim mayor and multiple Islamic representatives at every level of government. This is cultural obliteration and incompatible with American or Western values. It needs to be actively opposed or it will sail through to please the fastest growing voting block.

You've heard the headlines. You've seen the statistics. You've been told that Jewish settlers are the greatest threat to peace in Judea and Samaria.
But who is producing those statistics? Who is spreading the narrative? And what are they leaving out?
In this video, PMO Spokesman @doronspielman takes you behind the headlines to challenge the way the United Nations, activists, and international media portray Jews living in their ancestral homeland.

They Say Islam Is Peaceful. These Countries Prove It’s a Lie.
In Morocco, Moroccan Christians aren’t recognized and can’t build a single church for themselves, only expats get them.
In Algeria, they shut down churches and hunt Kabyle Christians.
In Tunisia, Tunisian Christians live in hiding with no church of their own.
In Libya, Libyan Christians get arrested and sentenced to death.
In Mauritania, Mauritanian Christians stay underground, caught means death row.
In Saudi Arabia, convert to Christianity and you’re arrested and killed if you refuse to recant. No churches for nationals, none for expats either.
In Kuwait, apostasy means prosecution and execution.
In Qatar, the “church” is for foreigners only, stripped of any cross, any Qatari who converts faces arrest and the death penalty.
In Yemen, Yemeni Christians exist only in secret; discovery means persecution and a death sentence.
In Egypt, Copts are squeezed and Muslim converts are jailed. No church dares take them because the state forbids conversion.
In the UAE, foreigners can worship, but any Emirati who leaves Islam must hide or go to jail.
In Syria, Christians live under constant pressure; conversion is forbidden and those caught are killed.
In Jordan, born Christians can have churches, but any convert is treated as an apostate under the law.
In the West Bank, converts hide, exposure means persecution and prison.
In Iraq, Christianity is being emptied as believers flee; conversion is illegal and punished with arrest.
Only in Iraqi Kurdistan and Lebanon is there any limited space for converts.
So tell me again how Islam is the religion of peace and tolerance. These countries are the living proof, what more do you need?
The REAL reason Elon Musk shut down Starlink for Ukraine! Russia's Kosmos 2312! youtu.be/npLNqQPsxOs
Musk shut down Starshield (the military version of Starlink) to preserve space, the economy and the Western world's dependence on space against a documented close flyby by Russia threatening a worldwide Kessler Syndrome. It's not about @Ukraine. It's about preserving @SpaceX and the world economy.
America is so cooked by the Russia-Iran-North Korea axis that it doesn't even understand how badly it lost.

Could We Lose the Persian Gulf This Week? Scott Galloway and Peter Zeihan youtu.be/0dTLRlnJf9I
Trump may be giving up on the Middle East, expecting it to devour itself in war, while Israel sits it out & focuses on the diminished Hamas & Hezbollah remnants that Iran can no longer afford to supply with resources (Zeihan says they produce 1/4 - 1m barrels - of oil when they used to produce 4m barrels).
This is why Trump is propping up Russia's oil infrastructure. He's expecting the entire Middle East will soon go offline, maybe for years or even forever.
The question of whether Trump started a war and then pulled out of supporting the "moderate" Gulf states like Saudi Arabia (which still supplied 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers) is one of whether you believe he's as grossly incompetent as he appears, or whether you still believe he's playing 5D chess and providing a path out of the Middle East that presidents have been trying & failing to find for decades. Ukraine, of course, is being sacrificed illegally under 2 U.S. laws, one of which Trump just signed weeks ago, for cheaper oil from Russia, but since Russia is half offline already, most likely surplus Iranian oil from the Caspian Sea or widely reported overland truck routes. It's worth remembering that Trump made a multi-billion deal with Ukraine too, for >50 mineral rights worth far more than a few tankers of oil form Russia, but that the U.S. can't collect on that during a war. Is Trump's 5D chess projecting Russia will own Ukraine's southeast where the most valuable minerals lie?
Either way, we will be living with >$100/barrel oil for a very long time until demand destruction, including for renewables which every other country but the U.S. is accelerating its rush for now.
