In May 2025, a client asked us to vet a prospective investor: Goliath Ventures, a crypto firm promising monthly returns from liquidity pools.
Last month its founder pleaded guilty to a $400M+ Ponzi scheme.
We flagged the risk in 2025 using only open-source intelligence.

Cambodia didn't just host the scam economy. It built the legal architecture to sustain it.
Issue #1 of Nothing Escapes Inca, our new monthly brief: Cambodia naturalized 4,000+ foreign nationals, 56% from the PRC, now seated on 7,284 company boards. In 2024 the records went offline.

On social media, scammers are among us.
Scams & syndicates evolve every year.
Solutions won’t come from tracing these on any one side.
Clarity comes between the lines. Conviction requires seeing all of it.

Naturalized directors don't just govern companies - they govern alongside Cambodia's political elite. Hun To, cousin of PM Hun Manet, appears on multiple boards with directors linked in sanctions actions to Cambodia's scam industry.
What emerges is institutional proximity between alleged criminal actors and the inner circle of Cambodian state power, formalized through corporate structures.

Looks like Cetus/Sui issue was an integer math overflow issue.
- Rust has always supported overflow checks on run-time/compiler level rust-exercises.com/100-exerc…
- Solidity added overflow checks in 0.8 (should have been 0.1 but we had to fight tens of millions of lost dollars w/gas golf wankers screaming against this)
This is a danger of homebrew ecosystems and rolling out your own languages and compilers. It is a black eye for Move, which was advertised as a safe smart contract programming language and obviously did not caught a basic issue like this.
Cetus AMM on the @SuiNetwork has suffered a catastrophic ~$200M hack🚨
Root cause: an arithmetic overflow in the liquidity calculation that allowed an attacker to withdraw astronomical amounts of tokens from a small liquidity position.
How did they pull this off? 🧵
