New work from Deutz et al. We examined if multi-enzyme supplements improved mixed-meal AA availability in older adults. Enzymes accelerated Leucine Tmax (121 vs 141 min), but soft clustering shows it’s not one-size-fits-all. jn.nutrition.org/article/S00…
Our new study shows that not all animal proteins are equal for MPS after resistance exercise. A high-fat ground meat matrix limited MPS when compared to its leaner counter-part, likely due to a reduced leucine trigger. Great work, @ZanZupancic18

The anabolic action of vegan and animal-based dietary patterns on MPS were similar during a short-term program of weight lifting. There was also no impact of protein distribution on the anabolic responses. @andyaskowphd @TakeshiBarnes @ZanZupancic18
