Here’s the journalism you all probably want to hear:
I asked Amare Ferrell about the originations and meaning of #drenchgang. Very insightful stuff.

Just an utterly inexcusable loss.
At home.
To a winless team.
With a double-digit lead at halftime.
In a season where "the urgency has never been higher."

#Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes says the #Raiders pairing Fernando Mendoza with Kirk Cousins has similarities to him and Alex Smith:
“It's going to do a lot of great things for him. Kirk is a true pro. ... I'll be great for Fernando to learn and just take in. It went really well for me and Alex, hopefully maybe not that much (for Fernanzo) unless I'm gone.” 😅

Just asked Victor Wembanyama if he’d ever consider promoting a sports betting company.
“Absolutely not. I will never do that. Honestly, I think it's very sad to see some players promote it. …Everybody does whatever they want, but without me.”

Cignetti at his introductory presser in 2023:
“We’re going to change the culture, the mindset, the expectation level, and improve the brand of Indiana Hoosier football.”

Cignetti: “I’m sure everybody’s disappointed because they still have the national championship hangover, but I can’t do anything about that.”

#Chiefs undrafted rookie LT Kahlil Benson on Monday night:
• 32 pass-blocking snaps
• 1 pressure allowed (3.2% rate).
• Excellent in the run game
His story is unreal: Benson won a National Championship at Indiana last season but went undrafted and unsigned. He attended Chiefs camp as a tryout player alongside 75+ players, earned a contract, made the 53-man roster, started Week 1—and balled out against Denver’s vaunted defense.
Per @NextGenStats, Benson allowed the fewest pressures among all rookie OTs in Week 1, which includes 3 first-round picks.

#Bears HC Ben Johnson said WRs coach Antwaan Randle El called the plays in the second half vs. the #Browns today when Chicago scored 24 points and put up 235 yards of offense.
"I think he's got a chance to be an OC in this league. I think he's got a chance to be a head coach in this league,” Ben Johnson said.

Sources: Indiana edge rusher Kellan Wyatt has been added to the Hoosiers’ roster for the 2026 season, a second key addition this week to an already deep defensive line group. Wyatt started seven games for IU last year before a season-ending injury, registering 8.0 TFLs.

FINAL: Cubs 7, Dodgers 6.

Sources: Indiana star defensive lineman Stephen Daley will return to the Hoosiers for his fifth year. He led Indiana in TFLs last year with 19.0 and also added 5.5 sacks, and his addition looms as a significant boost to a talented and deep Indiana defensive front group.
