Wait until he gets his hands on this story
A former Fort Bragg contractor has been arrested and charged with leaking classified special operations material online. James Thomas Ashbacher, 37, of Spring Lake, North Carolina, was arrested by the FBI on October 27. Beginning around 2021, he worked for a private company providing security and emergency management services at a U.S. Army Special Operations Command facility at Fort Bragg, a position that required a Top Secret clearance. Prosecutors allege that between 2021 and March 2024, Ashbacher photographed and removed classified images and videos of military operations and posted them to social media. When other users reposted the material, he allegedly messaged one of them asking them to "take 'em down, tuck them away, and repost them in a year or two when my contract ends lol." According to the indictment, a search of his home in April 2025 turned up a classified military award write-up and night vision goggles belonging to an Army special operations unit, valued at around $40,000. He faces charges of unlawfully transmitting and retaining national defense information and theft of government property. Ashbacher is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. But in a community where operational security keeps people alive, allegations like these hit hard. OPSEC isn't optional.

Bragging about struggling to buy a home with the VA loan as a SEAL Officer 20+ years ago is so insane and out of touch man
Yeah we all remember that and I also remember not being stupid enough to think the government could fix it all for me. I remember having four roommates while I was a young Navy SEAL and saving money on my first deployment to Iraq to buy my first home. I remember when people didn’t believe that someone else should pay for some make-believe lifestyle we thought we deserved…because we believed we had to figure it out ourselves. I also remember when Republicans were honest enough to tell people the truth and fight for policy that would have long term benefits even if unpopular in the short term. If anyone thinks the lesson about “affordability” in this election is just becoming more populist and more liberal, then go join the Democrat party. They’ll be happy to have you, bribing voters with promises of free crap. Or…do a better job making the economic case for what you know is right. I’m still team Trump. Why? Because his policies are grounded in the long term, not the convenient short term. GOOD. Double down on the agenda. Who cares if we lost the midterms? Nothing changes. We already had a deadlocked Congress anyway. And how about you supposed “conservative commentators” tell the truth about issues like affordability? Republicans made sure the average family of 4 didn’t see a $10,000 increase in taxes last year. *Money that Democrats voted to take from you.* Republicans push for permitting reform and deregulation. Supply side policies that decrease inflation long term. Tariffs suck in the short term but in the long term will bring manufacturing here. Biden and his Democrats caused 9% inflation. The high prices you see now? Guess what, 76% of that higher price is from the Biden years. The rest is gas prices which admittedly is caused by the actions in Iran. GOOD. All I have to pay is 30% higher gas and I get to make sure Iran can’t point a nuke at me?? GOOD. By the way, lots of other consumer goods are cheaper. Prescription drugs are 4.5% LOWER. The biggest cost increases are housing and healthcare. Why? Because Obamacare wrecked the healthcare market and blue states make it impossible to permit new home building. But who cares about the facts, right? Good job, Texas! Say goodbye to your low cost of living and pro-business reputation. And thank the braindead right wing populists that threw their votes away in protest (also thank Paxton for running the worst campaign ever….). Republicans need to stop running away from good policy and principles just because it MIGHT win an election. Thats the Democrat way. Fuck that. Stick to principle. And LEARN HOW TO ACTUALLY EXPLAIN GOOD POLICY TO VOTERS. The moronic consultant class told the GOP to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on transgender ads instead of the economy. Incredibly stupid. Let’s learn some lessons, but for God’s sake learn the RIGHT lessons.

They’re calling it the most PR response of all time
Martha Stewart addresses her homeless person Halloween costume in statement to Page Six: “I am distressed that my Halloween costume yesterday, which was intended to bring more awareness to the very serious subject of homelessness, has offended people, which was never my intention. […] Homelessness continues to remain one of America’s greatest challenges and ongoing crises, something that I care deeply about and I have spent a significant amount of time and effort supporting charities that combat this ongoing social epidemic.” (pagesix.com/2026/11/01/celeb…)

Totally believe this, but it is strange that a lot of influencers are hitting the same talking points: •ammo management (???) •green shotgun shells (???) •typewriter Not to mention the amount of folks that are historically lore sticklers letting so much slide in this case.
I've seen some people accuse me of being sponsored by the movie, which would be illegal to not disclose, aka not worth ruining my whole business. I did get offered to do promo for the movie but couldn't because of scheduling conflicts. My opinions are my own, dumb or otherwise.

Five years ago today, on August 26, 2021, Marine Corporal Daegan William-Tyeler Page was killed when a suicide bomber attacked the Abbey Gate at Hamid Karzai Intl Airport in Kabul, killing 13 American service members. He was 23 years old. A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Page was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment out of Camp Pendleton. He had been in Kabul only about two weeks after being sent as part of a quick-reaction force (QRF) when the evacuation began to unravel. Across his chest he carried the tattoo “Death Before Dishonor,” and those who served beside him say he embodied it fully, the Marine who still managed a smile in the darkest moments, the one everyone in the company knew by name. He shared a love of hunting and the outdoors with his father, adored dogs, and grew up playing youth hockey and running with the Boy Scouts. A good Marine and an even better friend, one of his fellow Marines put it, and that judgment is shared by virtually everyone who knew him. Page and the twelve others who fell that day, 11 Marines, one Navy corpsman, and one Army soldier, were posthumously awarded the Purple Heart. In 2024, Congress presented the Congressional Gold Medal, the nation’s highest civilian honor, to all thirteen families. When the Nebraska State Patrol thanked the crowds who first lined the roads for his 2021 homecoming, their message was simple: rest in peace, hero. Five years later, this community is still answering that call, flags raised once more, determined that his name will not fade. Never forgotten.
