Why Mini Apps? π
Because the future of Nimiq is about open infrastructure that anyone can build on.
One ecosystem to pay, save, earn and on/off ramp.
One ecosystem that becomes more useful with every great Mini App. π
@miniappscomp
60 mini app ideas across Pay, Save, and Earn. π₯
Remittance corridors, bill splitting, round-up savings, cashback rewards, and more.
Keeping our promise to provide builders with guidance and real areas of opportunity, we put this together to spark inspiration for your Cycle 3 mini app build. π
Each idea comes with building blocks, technical pointers, and things to watch out for.
We held off sharing these because we wanted to see what YOU would come up with first. π

ICYMI @miniappscomp Cycle 3 is underway.
And to win $4,000 USDC, the most important decision you make is the Mini App idea you chose.
β Does it solve a real problem?
β Can I build a working version before Nov 11?
β Can I name 5 people who would use it?
β Does it make Pay, Save, Earn or On/Off-Ramp more useful?
We can't wait to see what you build. π

ANNOUNCEMENT π£
Today, we double down on our open source commitment: Nimiq Payβs source code is now public!
Pay with NIM anywhere Lightning is accepted, open Mini Apps built by the community, and now read the code behind it all.
Check out the news in the blog post π nimiq.com/blog/nimiq-pay-is-β¦
Well said @NimiqCommunity π€
Ramping in and out of crypto is still harder than it should be. Letβs fix that.
@nimiq Payβs Mini-Apps framework could plug in on/off ramps and payment rails from across ecosystems. Built around nimiq-2:native - open to everything else.
What should come first?
USDT/USDC on- and off-ramps
Euro stablecoins like EURe
EVM-compatible rails
Bank transfers and local payment methods
Spending crypto via services like Bitrefill
Third-party ramp providers
Your wishlist shapes what gets built. Tell us which services, payment methods and integrations you actually want to use.

π Nimiq Mini Apps Competition: Special Community Council Rewards
Across the first two cycles of the @Nimiq Mini Apps Competition, we've seen an incredible 204 submissions, with 7 official winners selected!
Choosing the winners was no easy task.
Many apps impressed us, some came incredibly close to winning, and others simply became personal favorites of the Council.
We believe great efforts deserve recognition, even when they don't make it to the podium.
That's why the @NimiqCommunity Council has decided to award $100 USD in $NIM to each of these 8 projects across the 2 last cycles!
Special mentions from Cycle 1:
β Nimiq Bazar by @vpn4access
β Nimble by github.com/gallareton
Special mentions from Cycle 2:
β Savanna Run by @real_winni3
β NimBooks by @subimpact (GitHub not available anymore)
β NimHunt (geofaucet app) by @NIM_Hunt
β Nimiq Names by @nimiqnames
β NimMultiSend by @cryptotudemun
β Pact by @makeclipbag
These rewards are our way of showing appreciation for the creativity, effort, and passion these builders have brought to the Nimiq ecosystem.
Congratulations to all the selected projects, and a huge thank you to everyone who participated!
Keep building, keep experimenting, and keep making the Nimiq ecosystem better.

PAY. SAVE. EARN. ON/OFF-RAMP.
Four priority directions for Cycle 3 of the @miniappscomp .
What could you build? π§΅π
π ON/OFF-RAMP: Extend Nimiq Pay to its edges.
As it stands, you cannot top up or cash out from inside Nimiq Pay. How could a Mini App let people move money in and out without leaving the app?
Think payment providers, bank accounts, or Bitcoin Lightning.
Do you HAVE to build within these four categories?
No.
But they're the priority directions for Cycle 3, aligned with the Nimiq roadmap.
The goal isn't more features. It's about extending what Nimiq Pay can do, to empower individuals with open and independent money.
