Another NimQuest roadmap update shipped! We've been gradually expanding NimQuest beyond basic Nimiq education, and this time, I focused on merchant payment reconciliation. Receiving a transaction hash doesn't automatically mean an order has been paid. A merchant still needs to verify the amount, recipient, confirmation status, and whether that same transaction has already been used for another order. Otherwise, you risk fulfilling unpaid orders or processing the same payment twice. I built a new quest called Reconcile a Merchant Payment, which teaches merchants how to properly verify and reconcile NIM payments. How it works: -Learn how to match a transaction to the correct order. -Understand NIM and luna conversions. -Detect underpaid or pending transactions. -Prevent duplicate fulfillment using the same transaction hash. -Learn how to maintain an auditable payment record. -Complete a quiz and verify your progress with your Nimiq wallet. I also added a new Merchant Ledger Ready achievement, unlocked after completing both merchant checkout and reconciliation quests. Try the new quest here :

Another day, another NimQuest roadmap update shipped! Yesterday, we focused on merchant onboarding. Today, we’re focusing on developers building on Nimiq. Building your first Nimiq Mini App can be confusing if you’re unfamiliar with the SDK, wallet permissions, provider initialization, and how Nimiq Pay handles user approvals. I introduced a new quest called Build Your First Mini App, designed to help developers understand the fundamentals of building Mini Apps inside Nimiq Pay. How it works: -Learn how to initialize the Nimiq Mini App SDK. -Understand how the wallet provider works. -Differentiate read-only network calls from wallet actions requiring user approval. -Learn how to handle initialization errors and denied permissions. -Complete a three-question quiz. -Verify your completion by signing a message with your Nimiq wallet. For merchants accepting crypto, knowing the difference between a submitted transaction and final settlement is important. I added a new quest called Verify a Merchant Checkout, designed to teach merchants how to safely verify NIM payments before fulfilling orders. How it works: >Learn how Nimiq checkout works. >Understand payment requests and transaction hashes. >Verify the correct recipient, asset, and amount. >Learn when a transaction can be considered settled. >Answer three questions and verify completion using your Nimiq wallet. Also shipped a dedicated Merchants filter, a new Merchant Ready achievement, and preserved the original 20 quest completion badge. NimQuest now has 21 wallet-verifiable quests.
