Do you think we would hand this country — Kenya, with all its tenders, its deep state, its wheeler-dealers, its generals, its mama mbogas and its Gen Z kababas with matches — to a greenhorn? To a novice? What are you smoking lately 🤷🏿‍♂️ On day two of a Sifuna presidency, he would get the shock of his life. He would walk into State House thinking he is the boss, The commander in chief 🤴 f the armed forces and find the real meeting has already happened. He would find himself outside, in Mama Ngina's outside kitchen, fetching firewood to boil her fermented porridge like a luhya house boy who came too early. Meanwhile inside the house, the real men are talking. The decisions are being made. Then they call him inside, pat him on the shoulder, tell him and tell him what to announce to the nation. "Mr. President, next time you warming porridge for MUM make sure it doesn’t taste smoke, use gas ok? Now announce this." That is Kenya. That is not an insult. That is the job description. It’s not precious blood convent. It is a slaughterhouse with a flag. And let us be honest: Maasai died, and that is a tragedy. But that is no reason to make Sifuna president tomorrow. We are not stupid enough to think greedy corrupt Gachagua can be president either. And only people who have never smelled aftershave in their life think a shaggy fellow like Methu can be anywhere near State House. State House needs cologne, not vibes and mungiki mau mau filth. But — and this is the part Musalia is missing — we WANT Sifuna on the ballot. We NEED him on the ballot. Not to win. To LOSE. He must run to lose. Uhuru had to run to lose. He lost in 2002, he was humiliated, he was called a project, he was laughed at — and that loss is what made him president in 2013. In Kenya, you don't become president by winning your first time. You become president by losing properly, nationally, with dignity, so that in 2032 everyone says: "Ah, this one has been tested."
