It has now been confirmed that the government has quietly changed the outcome of the 2016 #pension scheme valuations which means it is making scheme members pay for the shambles it has made of their pensions. pcs.org.uk/pensionshambles

People complaining that strikes are "disruptive" are so close to getting the point. Go look up the word "leverage".
Strikes are last resorts, but they must be supported. Griping that they should only be done in a polite, restrained, and unobstructive manner is Tory sewage.
Too many nominally 'progressive' people are recycling Tory attack lines against the unions striking during #COP26
Of course they're taking advantage of an international summit. Their job is to improve the lot of their members, not worry about how this looks in the New York Times

This is a slap in the face to thousands of PCS members, who, because of the governments lack of support for culture, were subject to a pay freeze last year, and did not even receive the paltry 2.5% pay rise the allowed for the rest of the public sector
