I think if a film came out in 2026 about a jealous woman accusing a man of rape in order to ruin his life, it would be quite heavily criticised, called sexist etc. Anyway on an unrelated note, I see everyone is really enjoying The Devils re-release

Taking this one step further, I think the recent trend of simply gesturing at things is actually what makes films like Digger so insufferable. We're so inundated with *all of this* that simply pointing fingers is actually the least compelling thing you can do. Like, I FEEL YOU in the rant, but also I'm gonna need you to dig a little deeper, pull all of these observations into a fine point. So many times, these projects feel like first or second drafts that get shuffled into production.
