The mental toll injuries take is rough. Jdub just spent a whole year being hurt,rehabbing then getting hurt again. all for him to get a major injury 3 games into the new season. Hopefully he has the support he needs cos thats alot for anyone.
Probably a move away from a true contender but once this and Miami making their wide open 3’s balances out they’ll be a good team

I'm still worried about Miami's offense, just as a function of not having much variety, lacking creation talent, and missing natural PG skills.
However, I'm not worried about the defense. They've just been getting absolutely nuked on jumpers over a miniscule sample size.
In the 50 minutes Giannis & Bam have played together, they've been an elite rim defense that dominates the glass, as you'd expect. The problem is that opponents have made 63% of their mid range shots and 51% of their 3s on extreme volume.
That's going to come back to Earth. I wouldn't panic just yet.
Some of it is bad perimeter defense but it’s also just ridiculous shooting as well which will come down to earth 100%. Schroder hit 3 threes in defenders faces it’s getting ridiculous

Look at how there’s an attempt to have off ball actions while Giannis makes his downhill move here. This keeps the defense occupied and allows for bam to not just be spaced into the corner
Heat team has clear problems but Wiggins isn’t going to shoot 18% from 3 all year THJ who’s terrible on defense also won’t shoot 17% from 3. Everything feels a lot worse because these guys plus Klay are missing WIDE open looks

The heat defense is 100% bad rn but they also are just having really bad 3pt shooting luck for the opposing teams as well. Some of these shots that’s going in on the heat is crazy lol
