He is 100% correct.
Aaron Rodgers sat at that podium in Paris and said out loud what the corporate league office spends millions trying to sanitize.
The NFL talks endlessly about “player safety” and “expanding the global game.” But behind closed doors, owners scrapped player-friendly bye weeks, forced a brutal 17th regular-season game, and shipped franchises across oceans simply because there was another dollar to squeeze out of foreign TV markets.
While families and players navigate locked-down streets, civil tension, and grueling travel schedules, ownership sits in five-star suites counting international expansion checks.
Rodgers doesn't care about league fines anymore. He’s telling you the truth: in the modern NFL, the brand and the balance sheet come first. The humans on the field come second.

A Kevlar combat helmet is designed to protect the head of the Marine wearing it.
On April 14, 2004, twenty-two-year-old U.S. Marine Corporal Jason Dunham ripped his helmet off his own head to save the two Marines standing beside him.
Weeks earlier, Dunham could have gone home to New York when his enlistment ended. Instead, he signed an extension paper so he would not leave his squad behind in Iraq, buying his younger Marines birthday cakes and calling home so their mothers could hear their voices.
While patrolling the dusty streets of Husaybah near the Syrian border, Dunham's squad stopped a white SUV packed with rocket-propelled grenades and rifles after an ambush on a Marine convoy.
When the driver lunged out of the vehicle and grabbed Dunham by the throat, the two men tumbled to the dirt street in hand-to-hand combat. Two of Dunham's Marines rushed in to help their squad leader.
Suddenly, Dunham saw the insurgent release an armed fragmentation grenade right onto the dirt between their feet.
Why could Dunham not throw the grenade away or tell his men to dive behind the Humvee?
Because the insurgent had already held the lever down before dropping it, leaving less than two seconds before detonation, and Dunham's two Marines were standing right over it in the open street. Even worse, a human body alone cannot always contain heavy grenade fragments at point-blank range.
In a fraction of a second, Dunham made a calculation that saved both of his men.
Shouting "No, no, watch his hand!", Dunham ripped his Kevlar helmet off his bare head, slammed the hard ballistic shell directly over the live grenade, and threw his own chest on top of the helmet to hold it down.
The explosion shattered the Kevlar helmet into fragments and mortally wounded Dunham, while both of his fellow Marines survived.
Doctors kept Dunham alive long enough for his mother and father to fly to Bethesda Naval Hospital. When his parents held his hand, the young Marine squeezed his father's fingers once before passing away.
Today, the U.S. Navy destroyer USS Jason Dunham sails the oceans bearing his name.

Replying to @chamath
Pretty much.
As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers.
SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue.
That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.
🚨🚨🚨 BREAKING: THE MOST EXPLOSIVE REVELATION IN AMERICAN HISTORY 🚨🚨🚨

And the FBI was blackmailing Biden too.
This wasn’t a failure.
This was the plan.
The Deep State didn’t just tip the scales…
THEY STOLE THE REPUBLIC.

Daniel W. Swift was a former U.S. Navy SEAL whose career moved between military service, civilian life, desertion, and eventually the war in Ukraine.
Swift enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2005, completed SEAL training, and served on the teams from 2007. His deployments included Iraq and Afghanistan. After leaving active service in 2014, he briefly worked as a police officer in Oregon before reenlisting the following year and returning to Naval Special Warfare. By 2019, following an increasingly difficult period in his personal life, Swift left the Navy without authorization and was subsequently listed as a deserter. He later spent time abroad, including in Thailand, where he taught English and trained in Muay Thai.
After Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Swift joined the Ukrainian war effort. He fought around Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Severodonetsk, and later Bakhmut, serving alongside multinational volunteer formations and participating in reconnaissance and direct-action missions. Fellow fighters described him as quiet, experienced, and highly competent in combat.
In January 2023, Swift was critically wounded near Bakhmut by an RPG explosion while fighting Russian forces. He was evacuated but died from his injuries on January 18, 2023, at the age of 35.
His story is an unusual one: a veteran of U.S. special operations who left the military under troubled circumstances, disappeared into civilian and expatriate life, and later resurfaced on another battlefield in Ukraine.

Reacher star Alan Ritchson recently made the news.
His neighbor, who was bothered by the sound of the motorcycles Ritchson and his sons were riding through the neighbor as they were leaving for a trip, decided to step in front of the actor’s motorcycle and physically attacked him. Ritchson got on his feet and punched the neighbor.
For the record, this is Alan Ritchson. He’s 6′3″ and 250 pounds of solid muscle. He has no history of getting into fights or altercations, has no known scandals or controversies and he is, by all accounts, a rather relaxed fellow who is generally liked by his co-stars — no bad stories of diva behavior or entitlement that you may occasionally hear of some stars. Taylor, the neighbor, spread stories about how he was attacked, how Ritchson began the whole thing, and Ritchson said nothing. His only statement was a quote by Napoleon Bonaparte: “Never interrupt your enemy when he’s making a mistake.”
Police released a statement yesterday that all charges against Ritchson were dropped, and that they watched several videos taken of the altercation and ruled he acted in self-defense. Sometimes the best response is a non-response. Well that, and a well-deserved punch.

Polish prosecutors have released their findings on the deaths of two GROM operators, Sgt. Karol Rubin and Senior Pvt. Rafał Kotnarowski, who were killed during a nighttime parachute training jump near Eloy, Arizona, on September 19, 2025. The two were taking part in a group night free fall jump from around 3,000 meters when the accident happened at about 2:50 a.m. local time.
According to investigators, an unplanned change of positions in the formation caused the two jumpers' flight paths to cross. They collided and became entangled in the air. One of them did not cut away his main canopy and was unable to deploy his reserve. The other cut away, but by then he was already too close to the ground. After a year long investigation, prosecutors found no involvement by any third party, and the case has been formally closed.
Rubin came from Orzysz and Kotnarowski from Suwałki. Both were experienced jumpers who served with Poland's Special Mission Unit, and both were lost doing the kind of demanding training that keeps GROM ready for whatever comes next. Former GROM commander Gen. Roman Polko summed it up simply: they ran out of a soldier's luck.
