I’m sorry but I have to spam that Mamdani did NOT stop or end the spy tech contracts. He just RESTARTED the bidding process and the Israeli’s are STILL allowed to bid, bc all the commentator left are pretending he ended it. 😒 It just makes me sick.

Literally I just reran the numbers after I posted this because I was curious and it's completely nonviable unless I want to live in a literal shoebox less than half the size of the place I rent now.

Last night on my way home at like 10pm (after leaving home before 7am) there was a giant SUV parked blocking most of the sidewalk on my block. So I grabbed organic waste out of a nearby trashcan and casually dropped it on the hood as I walked by.

Mind you I'm dressed for my office job in finance while I do this so there's no confusion that I live here and he is shitting on MY home.

Maybe someday it'll be a retired pig who will shoot me over it. I don't care. Fuck these people and their entitlement, he'd better not miss.

BREAKING: Defeated Brazilian presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro steps off a private jet in Miami after President Trump approved his entry into the United States despite a court order banning him from leaving his home country. Bolsonaro reportedly used an Italian passport to cross into Argentina with his family before boarding a private plane that stopped in Ecuador on its way to Florida. The Trump administration confirmed it is granting visas to Bolsonaro and his family, just days after his election defeat. For the latest details, read the full story: foxnews.com/world/sen-flavio…

Once again fueling the "nuke SF" movement
i’m deleting @Uber and moving to @Waymo absolutely today, my uber driver told me he has four children living in a garage, and that of the $30 i paid for the ride, he was only getting $7. it’s the 5th time an uber driver has confronted me about tipping him in cash. this time, he pointed to my diamond earrings and trench coat as evidence that i could obviously afford to pay him more. it’s an astonishing masterclass in incentive design! make the worker desperate enough to go outside their boundaries, make the customer guilty enough to give in, and the company gets off scot-free. these are deeply uncomfortable situations for customers to be put in. i empathize with the drivers, but being put on the spot and made to feel personally responsible for someone else’s livelihood is a difficult position to be in.

I saw a middle age lady with a leather jacket that had like fifty different Yankees logos on it on the train yesterday and she took her damn backpack off and put it by her feet even when the train wasn't too full because she understood it might fill up at any stop. A real one.
The worst thing Covid did to this city was killing off subway backpack etiquette

Real public servant here "go fuck yourself" yeah you too bitchy whorres, you'll have your day at the hague
Today in the Bronx, a group of young people confronted Ritchie Torres about his pro-ICE record, and the money he takes from AIPAC and the rest of the pro-Israel lobby. Instead of listening, he cursed them out. Here are the facts. Ritchie Torres has taken over $2 million from the pro-Israel lobby. He voted for the Laken Riley Act, the first law Trump signed this term. It enables ICE to lock up undocumented immigrants who have only been accused of a crime, not convicted, even for something as small as shoplifting. Then he voted for a resolution thanking ICE for “protecting the homeland.” But Ritchie Torres is the symptom, not the disease. For over 20 years, Democrats have voted with Republicans to fund ICE while promising to deliver on “comprehensive immigration reform” that never came. That’s how we got the deportation machine we’re living under today. That same machine came for Alexander Nilaj, a pillar of our community who built the Open Hand food pantry right here in the Bronx. On October 13, ICE kidnapped him and took him to Delaney Hall. Without him, the pantry has stopped giving out food. Ritchie Torres has visited Alexander at Delaney Hall, but he and the Democrats helped build the very same machine that put Alexander there. The Bronx is sick of ICE tearing our neighborhoods apart. The Bronx doesn’t want more meaningless measures like Ritchie’s proposal to put QR codes on ICE agents. The Bronx wants ICE out of our communities for good. The Bronx deserves leaders who will fight for full rights for every immigrant, now — not as a distant promise. The Bronx needs and deserves socialism: a system where working people hold the political and economic power, and where billions go to housing, healthcare, and childcare instead of ICE and endless wars abroad.
