Dinner at GW Fins during New Orleans Restaurant Week was a standout. At $56 for three courses (plus tax and gratuity), it was an unbeatable deal. Our friend @charlespizzo (local, foodie, and always fun company) joined us, and we all opted for the prix fixe menu. I started with a rich, flavorful lobster bisque, followed by an incredible Louisiana drum – crispy prosciutto crust, local melon salsa, arugula panzanella, and a drizzle of balsamic brown butter. Dessert? Bourbon-braised peaches over a cornmeal blondie with whipped cream. Summer perfection. David began with a creole tomato salad, then moved on to a wood-grilled Berkshire pork chop with goat cheese grits, shishito peppers, Alabama peaches, and a bold Korean glaze. He finished with a warm blueberry almond upside-down cake and vanilla ice cream. Charles ordered the Sicilian tuna meatballs, swordfish Bolognese, and the bourbon-braised peaches too.
