I never really thought about how social security, its mere existence, gave permission to an entire generation to mistreat their kids.
Boomers knew they were getting government handouts, and knew that even if they mistreated their children they would still get money and the government would “take care of them”. This removed their incentive to keep their extended families intact.
For human history the elderly were taken care of by their families. So people had an incentive to not burn bridges.
Then the government came along and destroyed that incentive. It was likely an unintended consequence but it’s where we are now as a society.
An entire generation demanding handouts from the children they neglected, with no interest in legacy, seeing their bloodline succeed, or dying surrounded by people who love them. They just want more money, less responsibility, and more resources when they aren’t actually contributing anything back to society anymore all because of a government program.
They put their faith in an institution that doesn’t even care about them instead of their own children and families.

Je suis triste quand je vois toute cette effervescence autour du catholicisme, je prédisais cela depuis des années et j'ai l'impression d'être un agent de la CIA qui assisterait impuissant au retour de l'Union Soviétique.
Dans 45 ans la France redeviendra catholique et nous n'aurons plus que nos yeux pour pleurer.
Je suis bon joueur néanmoins les catholiques sont beaucoup mieux organisés ainsi que plus déterminés que nous les musulmans et même que les sionistes, il faut savoir reconnaître la force de l'international catholique.
Les catholiques américains vont maintenant inonder le monde de leur soft power au détriment à la fois de l'hégémonie spirituelle musulmane en Europe de l'Ouest et du lobby sioniste.

Ask a Protestant what the “pillar and foundation of the truth” is and you’ll probably hear: the Bible.
But 1 Timothy 3:15 says it’s “the Church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.”
Christ entrusted His teaching to the Apostles. Through that apostolic Church, Sacred Tradition was preserved and Scripture was handed down to us.
You can reject the Catholic Church, but you can’t pretend the Bible appeared independently of the Church that preserved it.

Y Combinator is a supposed champion of “Little Tech” but perhaps they’re nothing more than a front for the far left.
I’m deeply uncomfortable with wealthy investors attacking American workers like this. I’m afraid it’s increasingly obvious to many people that individuals such as this guy do not have the best interests of America and her citizens in mind.
The purpose of the American economy is to promote the general welfare of American workers, not provide jobs for the rest of the world.

Nobody needs a 130 IQ to do ordinary IT work, coding, analysis—you just need someone competent and trained for the work.
Secondly, the U.S. has millions of people over 130 IQ and tens of millions over 115.
The shortage is of employers willing to hire Americans at American wages, not of Americans able to do the job.
When Indians are able to hire for an American company they choose their own people over Americans, and it must stop.
