Remarkable how I've only just seen Lewis Hall trying to drag the injured Harrison Armstrong up off the floor at the end of last night's game. I thought a player doing something like this warranted days worth of analysis, coverage and criticism.........

🚨 William Saliba has returned to first team training. Im told Saliba has absolutely smashed his recovery milestones but Arsenal will be very cautious regarding his availability for selection. Great news.

Declan Rice continuing to make a mockery of Graeme Souness’ woeful analysis of his game on a weekly basis. Superb goal against Bayern, now leading the way for Premier League assists this season. Just a monstrous player all over the pitch. The complete midfielder.

Oh Patrick Vieira doesn’t mince words Looked at Gary Neville and told him how dirty he was as a player and how they got away with it because United had refs in their pocket It was so beautiful to watch

Netflix have had an absolute stinker here. Built an entire concept on Luke Littler being practically unbeatable, to the point they even put in professional darts players to compete against him. Glad this fell at the first hurdle.

I’d like to apologise to Aston Villa, the owners & their fans. My language this week was clumsy & wrong. I can assure Villa fans it was tongue in cheek but I can understand it’s not come across that way, so apologies. Good luck today UTV!

I don’t get this one. I understand the ref’s call in real time but don’t see violent conduct on the replays, only a frustrated, aggressive act from a player on the receiving end of two extremely robust tackles in ten minutes. I’d have rescinded the red and waived the suspension
The FA has confirmed that Arsenal’s appeal against Max Dowman’s red card has been dismissed by an independent regulatory commission. The 16-year-old will now be suspended for the upcoming Premier League matches against Liverpool, Hull City and Newcastle United. 🔗 nyti.ms/4kmFMQK

This is really poor by @FA. The governing body is supposed to protect players. It should be disputing this regulatory commission verdict by members drawn from the FA judicial panel. Max Dowman could have suffered a bad injury to his standing leg from a dangerous challenge which went unpunished. Arsenal 16-year-old shouldn’t have reacted but his frustration was understandable. Some other players might have rolled around and ensured a bad challenge was punished. Dowman didn’t. He doesn’t stay down. The FA should have shown some understanding towards Dowman. Instead, it has suspended him for three games. FA priorities all wrong: tolerating a poor challenge and some weak refereeing but punishing a kid who objected to a bad challenge that could have dealt him a serious injury. Protect players. #AFC

A simple way of looking at it: if something isn't called a foul, let alone a yellow/red, it is permitted to be done as much as possible in a game. So Neal's challenge on Dowman can be done 100 times, while Dowman's nudge back gets a three-match ban (plus the final 10 mins).
