Well I turned the big 70 today. Not much else to say about my continuing journey through life. The main part will be revealed in my upcoming book, "Last Man Standing" which will be finished after my return from Lucca Comics and Games. I am also interfacing with professors and researchers from the New Jersey Institute of Technology about my findings noted in "The 4th Category". That is ongoing and I may be attending a congress there next year as a speaker. Work continues apace on Knights of Frontier Valley @KnightsFrontier which is going to be a banger. Expect more announcements in the future concerning these topics and others. For tonight watching Columbo re-runs with my wife who is a huge fan of same. Stay safe. Stay creative.

No. Conan the Destroyer is basically the first D&D movie.
They form a party, explore dungeons, fight wizards, a party member betrays them, and they slay a demigod and "retire" at name level at the end.

One thing Classic RPG'ers love are good resources.
These old publications aren't going to be familiar to newer gamers, but they are the meat and potatoes of many campaigns.
I think a major tool for me was the Judges Guild, Ready Ref Sheets book.
All it is is charts and lists for the DM to use. Some are redone and more legible versions of the D&D charts and others are new.
The other essential was the Judges Shield, it was the first ever DM screen.
One side even had a finely printed abbreviation of all the monsters.
I can't imagine not having resources like this. If I see a new product, I tend to buy the ones that fit into my existing game world.

Been over 100+ hours so far, easily. That's how complicated it is to port over genuine rules and conditions, no skirting, this includes applying fighter exception strength for doors, to allowing UA Method V exist - choosing Class first yet respecting all character build rules. Yet, it's way more than about game rules creating this monster, trust, like using the Unearthed Arcana Method V - select Class first? I have that - but the code to make it reverse compatible took a long time to get it right. Then what if someone decided to change Ability Scores after say selecting Race and/or Class? I have those reset - to keep the character build within the game rules - no gaming the system, and so much more 🤪 #ADnD #ADnD1e #AdvancedDungeonsAndDragons
