Good Monday X family. Are you connected? Enjoy today’s devotional. Have you ever read "pray continually" and wondered how that's even possible? Does God expect us to pray every waking second? Should we be talking nonstop? For a long time, I thought praying continually meant I wasn't trying hard enough. If I were more disciplined, more focused, more spiritual, maybe I'd finally figure it out. The prayer life you're longing for isn't built by trying harder to talk to God. It's discovered as you learn to participate in the conversation He already started. One moment, one response, one shared experience at a time. The God who started the conversation is still speaking. Still present. Still inviting you to walk with Him. Jesus described the life of faith as abiding in Him like a branch connected to a vine. Branches don't produce fruit by striving harder. They bear fruit by staying connected. Prayer is one of the ways we stay connected. And as we stay connected, we begin to notice things. A nudge to check on a friend you haven't thought about in months. A prompting to say the thing you've been holding back. A quiet invitation to forgive something you'd held onto. Those moments are part of prayer, too.
