In Parliament today to speak to MPs about prioritising maternity services in the Government’s NHS plans. The event was extremely busy and well-attended by MPs. Here’s the RCM’s Abbie Aplin with @MichelleWelshMP, Josh Fenton-Glynn MP (@JoshFG), @HelenMaguireMP, & Andrew George MP.
🎉 Congratulations to Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals NHS FT, the winners of the #GreenMaternityChallenge! 🏆🌱
Dr Ranee Thakar, President of @RCObsGyn, praised the project: "This is an area we don't manage well in secondary and primary care—we fail these women. Your project provides strong evidence of impact and establishes a pathway that can be adapted to address many other challenges affecting women and girls worldwide."
@MidwivesRCM @sbrihealthcare @AACinnovation @HealthInnovNet
Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals NHS FT has introduced a virtual pathway for nausea and vomiting in pregnancy (NVP), allowing patients to receive IV fluids and antiemetics at home. This reduces hospital visits, improves patient comfort, and saves 6,462 kgCO2e annually. #GreenMaternityChallenge #SusQI @MidwivesRCM @RCObsGyn @sbrihealthcare @AACinnovation @HealthInnovNet
