If nothing else, the people claiming there "are no books for boys or men" demonstrate that publishing needs to reinvent its marketing strategy. These books 100% exist, but everyone's always claiming not to know this.

Has anyone investigated whether the fact publishing is notoriously an underpaid industry is related to the employees being women? Men are very free to go make $40k (or less?) to live on NYC, but men are always telling me that's absurd and they wouldn't agree to that.
