It’s sad what is happening to Florida. Florida isn’t just beaches and sunshine, it’s quiet backroads shaded by palms, rivers that move like glass, and wild spaces where nature still feels untouched. It’s early mornings with golden light breaking through the trees, the sound of water nearby, and that calm feeling you can’t quite explain but never forget. This is the Florida that feels real, raw, peaceful, and alive. But somewhere along the way, we keep replacing that beauty with rows of identical houses, crowded streets, and developments that could exist anywhere in the world. The character fades, the silence disappears, and the land slowly loses what made it special in the first place. Growth is inevitable, but losing identity doesn’t have to be. Florida deserves more than copy-paste neighborhoods, it deserves to keep its wild side, its soul, and the natural beauty that made people fall in love with it to begin with.

Florida has been controlled by the Republican Party for 30 years. Republican have run all 3 branches of government here in Florida for 3 decades. So serious question for my fellow Floridians…… If you are concerned with the homeowners insurance issues we have, the over development of our state, the rising cost of living, the education system not operating to the best of it’s ability, and the healthcare system deficiencies we have……. Why do you continue to elect the same people that led us here?

To everyone dismissing today’s No Kings rallies: Symbolism is not weakness. Symbolism is how movements announce themselves to history. Not everyone can file a lawsuit. Not everyone can run for office. Not everyone can break a story or fund a campaign. But two hours in the street says something that cannot be ignored: We are here. We are counting. We are watching. Philadelphia filled. Atlanta marched. DC is building now. This is not the beginning of the resistance. This is the resistance announcing its size. Trump dismissed the Women’s March. Trump dismissed the George Floyd protests. Trump dismissed every crowd that showed up before. Like retweet and comment so this message goes far and wide!

President John F. Kennedy believed that one day this country would live up to its promise of justice and equal rights for all. For those beliefs and for his sacrifice, Congress voted to make The Kennedy Center a living memorial to him, as a place built by the people for the people to celebrate what connects us.  While this trespass on the People’s will is painful, President Kennedy would remind us that it is not buildings that define the greatness of a nation. It is the actions of its people and its leaders.  So, do not be distracted from what this Administration is actually trying to erase: our connection, our community, and our commitment to the rights of all.

Senate Democrats say they won't vote for ICE funding without reforms. Good. Now, we must negotiate hard. At least five demands must be non-negotiable before the bill comes to the House: 1. ICE and CBP leave Minneapolis and stops terrorizing American cities; 2. We get a full, independent investigation into the killings; 3. No more detaining and deporting U.S. Citizens; 4. The masks come off; 5. The mass arrest quotas and warrantless arrests end.

BREAKING: Donald Trump is erasing American history because he doesn’t like what it says. This is happening at Independence National Historical Park’s President’s House in Philadelphia, where exhibits on the people George Washington enslaved are being removed after Trump’s administration ordered reviews of content deemed to “disparage” America. It’s state-sanctioned amnesia. You don’t honor history by hiding it. This is what Putin does. This is what Hitler did.

Today, our country feels leaderless. The temperature is rising, anger is boiling over, and truth itself feels fragile. But here’s the truth: each of us can step into that absence. Each of us, in our own way, can be the kind of leader this moment demands. Call it pastoring, call it tending, call it guiding whatever word resonates. Real leaders don’t bully or extort. They don’t pit us against each other. They listen. They allow silence. They speak truth. They hold space for grief and for hope. And every single one of us is capable of that kind of leadership right now, in our own lives.

We are devastated to learn that overnight the state painted over the Pulse Memorial crosswalk on Orange Avenue. But we know that while this crosswalk has been removed, Orlando's commitment to honoring the 49 can never be erased.
