For Brett Chaffey, going indoors started as a way to beat the desert heat. It turned into a better way to coach.
Teaching at Back Nine Golf, a 24/7 indoor facility, lets him fit lessons around his students’ work schedules instead of the weather. He pairs launch monitor numbers with video in Onform so students can see what’s actually happening in their swing, not just what it feels like.

You feel like X happened then you check video to verify yes or no.
If you feel like you need it, check video after every swing.
You feel it, then you see it, and you find out fast if the two match.
Once you’ve seen it right a few times, you’ve got the picture..
Run it in your head between reps. Run it again on the drive home. You’re rehearsing a swing you actually watched.
I use @Onform_app and @FullSwingBSB for this.
(and make sure you’re following, I help hitters hit better in games)

Shared Notes in Onform lets you share them with exactly who needs them.

Club head tracking is officially out of beta, and it now supports down the line video.
The tracking is more accurate than ever, so what shows up on screen matches what really happened in the swing.
Club head tracking is part of Coach Pro. Update the app and give it a try on your next lesson.
Onform now integrates with the @SensorEdge Dynamix Duo Wireless pressure mat. Record a swing and see the pressure trace synced to the video, broken down by lead and trail side and toe and heel.

Coaching indoors provides more flexibility, no weather factors, and a tech-forward experience. Brett Chaffey at Back Nine Golf in St. George, Utah, uses on-screen drawing, voiceovers and 3D data analysis to get the most out of his lessons on a simulator.

Onform 4.7 is out now. Coaches can tag multiple athletes, share notes with others, and get voice-overs transcribed with AI summaries. Golf coaches also get faster 3D and down-the-line club head tracking.
Update on the App Store.
A lot of coaches are hesitant to use technology because they're afraid it will replace them. PGA coach Nick Biondi has found the opposite.

With your regular phone camera, fast motion in your swing videos can be blurry, especially at impact. That’s motion blur. The shutter can’t keep up with how fast the club is moving, so instead of a crisp frame you get a smear.
Onform gives you greater control, allowing you to adjust frames per second, shutter speed and ISO manually to virtually eliminate motion blur.
"I don't want to just be out here teaching technique and telling people what to do without the ability to measure what they're doing." — Bryan McDonald, supercross & motocross coach.
