ATTENTION: @muhammadpate, @Kyusufabba @NPHCDA Government has budgeted for Kore PHC, but electricity remains a major challenge. Kano State allocated ₦111.706m in its 2025 budget and included Kore PHC in a ₦105m grouped project in 2026 for upgrades to cottage hospitals. How much has been released and spent? What work has been completed? Has the power problem been addressed? Budget allocations must translate into functional healthcare. The people of Kore deserve reliable healthcare services. Attn @muhammadpate , @NphcdaNG @Kyusufabba Kore Model PHC in Kano operates 24/7, but its solar power reportedly lasts only about 4 hours. Mr Hassan says when power runs out during nighttime deliveries, the delivery area is left in darkness. How can healthcare workers provide safe, continuous care without reliable electricity? @NphcdaNG, @Kyusufabba A HEALTH CENTRE WITHOUT RELIABLE POWER: THE REALITY AT KORE PHC, KANO STATE. For rural communities, primary healthcare centres are often the first point of access to essential medical services. But what happens when the electricity needed to sustain these services is unreliable? At Kore PHC, inadequate solar power means health workers struggle with electricity outages, particularly at night when patients may urgently need care. Despite government plans and millions of naira earmarked for facility upgrades, reliable electricity remains a challenge. Healthcare infrastructure goes beyond buildings. It must include the essential services that keep them functional. In Abawan, Cross River State, accessing healthcare can mean crossing open water by boat and navigating rough, muddy roads on a motorcycle. For pregnant women and critically ill patients, the journey can be dangerous. Join Sylvia Akpan on the road to Abawan PHC. #HealthcareAccess – at Lagos, Nigeria

AI-generated disinformation poses a growing threat to the integrity of Nigeria’s 2027 elections. Our Lead Research Analytics, Naiyeju Funmilayo Hannah (@INaiyeju92428), participated in BUILD AI 2026, a forum held on October 14–15 and led by @YIAGA, alongside @inecnigeria, @CJIDAfrica and @Dataphytefdn. From fabricated candidate videos to fake INEC result sheets, AI-generated content can mislead voters, spread false narratives and undermine public trust in the electoral process. Addressing this threat requires more than reacting after misinformation spreads. We need early detection, robust verification systems, responsible AI practices and voter education in local languages. At @Orodata, we see an opportunity to translate these priorities into practical action through credible data, strategic collaboration and proactive preparedness. Protecting Nigeria’s electoral integrity starts with being informed, prepared and proactive. #NigeriaDecides2027 #ElectionIntegrity – at Lagos, Nigeria

Poverty is more than a lack of money. It also means limited access to healthcare, education and basic living conditions. NBS data reveals that 132.92 million Nigerians (62.9%) experience multidimensional poverty. North East: 76.5% North West: 75.8% South West: 40.0% Eradicating poverty requires evidence-based policies that address these inequalities. 📊 Source: NBS, Nigeria MPI Survey 2022 🔗 orodata.org #EndPoverty #DataForDevelopment – at Lagos, Nigeria
