Got a trip in the works? If you need to get or renew a passport, know that your top online search results might be third-party websites that will charge you for forms and services that are free on Travel.State.gov or will just try to take your money.

Beginning tomorrow, newly designed Florida driver licenses and identification cards will begin rolling out at service centers across the state! The new credential remains one of the most secure over the counter identification options available today and proudly pays homage to Florida’s history with design features, including: -An image of Castillo de San Marcos, the oldest masonry fortress in the continental United States, located in St. Augustine; -The Florida orange is cleverly integrated as the “o” in “Florida”; -On the back, a tribute to Florida’s Space Coast showing the Discovery Space Shuttle; and -A Florida alligator incorporated into the REAL ID star in the top right corner of call cards. Florida residents are not required to replace their existing driver license or identification card. All valid credentials will remain in circulation and be phased out over time. Visit flhsmv.gov/newDL to find out more information about our next driver license!

⛽ Don’t let a fuel stop slow you down! When a storm threatens Florida & evacuation orders are issued, gas stations can get busy fast, leading to longer lines & potential fuel shortages. 🚗 Keep your vehicle at least halfway full or charged so you’re ready to go when it’s time to get to safety. Remember: If you’re halfway full, you’re halfway there! 📍 🔗 Wrap up #FLPrepMonth with road-readiness at FloridaDisaster.org/HalfwayF…!
