DCBs For De Novo Disease - Are We Too Late In The US?
I may have spoken too soon! 😂
@SanjogKalra’s eloquent take on why DCBs have taken so long to reach the US market was every bit as thoughtful—and thought-provoking—as @FaroucJaffer’s.
Take a listen to this 1-minute clip!
With these two heavy hitters on the roster, today’s session on Calcium Modulation and DCBs may have won @Dallas_PCI 2026! 😀👏🏼

Just so everyone knows, despite an ongoing war and enormous geopolitical tensions, thousands of Iranian students continue to study in the United States.
So expelling Afghan MBBS students from Pakistan, especially those in 4th and final year who are just months away from completing their degrees, is deeply troubling.
Stop new admissions if policy demands it. But destroying the careers of students who have already invested years of their lives?
Students should not be made casualties of politics.
PCI Lens, MD retweeted
It’s sad that Afghan medical and dental students already enrolled in Pakistan are asked to leave mid-degree, after years of education. Whatever the political circumstances, students should not bear the cost of policy decisions. They deserve an exception to complete their degrees.

Delaying heart failure meds = preventable deaths
🔹 Beta-blocker: ↑34-35% all-cause mortality
🔹 ARNI: ↑~25% all-cause mortality
🔹 MRA: ↑24-35% all-cause mortality
🔹 SGLT2i: ↑13% mortality, ↑31% HF hospitalization
delaying GDMT → worse QoL, faster progression
