If people are motivated towards the change in a change process, everything else becomes easier. All the time & effort we invest early in that change process, engaging people, listening & co-producing, pays off later in better, more sustainable change. Sometimes the most difficult part of solving any problem is figuring out how to start! Yesterday, Ms. Reyna‘s 6th grade math students worked with a partner to discuss the first step to take when simplifying expressions using the order of operations. #PISDMathChat @PISDMIDDLE

A note about averaging grades when 0s are present:
If a student receives one 0, they must then get 85% on 16 subsequent assignments before their grade will reach a B.
Another example: if a student gets 95% 33 times but has two 0s, they'd only get an A if you round up.
