Don't go to campaign offices on election Day expecting the candidates to be there... An important lesson for me lol sending luck to Jennie Worden and @KevinRupasinghe

this is why our coverage of Bradford's Islamophobic endorsers matters. he showcases support from prominent Muslims, but also from prominent folks who direct hate at Muslims btw peep the comments to see how some of his online supporters feel about Muslim endorsers
I'm grateful to Imam Ismail Ulghar for calling from his Umrah pilgrimage to offer his blessings and making dua. Imam Ismail is a well-known Islamic scholar in Ontario and across Canada, and his kind words about our campaign and our shared commitment to building a better Toronto for everyone are deeply appreciated.

Know the Rules: When calling a needless snap election framed as being about battling Donald Trump despite having 2 years left of your majority mandate
Good grief. David Eby's decision to call a needless early election has to rank among the worst political calculations made by a Canadian politician this century. A deeply irresponsible move that's ultimately handed the country's third largest province to the right.

Okay I have spent a very minimal amount of time paying attention to Mississauga's election minus enjoying @AlvinTedjo replying to me in my singular solitary mission to Mississauga for a work-training thing, but I gotta wonder, based on how close the polling has been, do we think

the "Actually I wasn't really feeling the whole Leader of the Liberal party" thing does real damage to her on the day of?

Do I need to reverse some long held ideas about Kojima........... maybe he is a genius
Picked up the 20th Anniversary Edition of My Chemical Romance’s “The Black Parade” on vinyl. I already own several copies of this album, though.

I will read this, but I want to note that I was being shown the "Bill Gates?" Joe Cadeau signage stuff from his daughter, its very funny despite the fact that I don't think Joe looks particularly like Bill Gates!
Check your inbox: it’s a special FREE E-Day edition of City Hall Watcher, with notes on a wild final day of mayoral polling and what it meant for our projection, plus where I’ll be on Election Night. And one last bit of Candidate Chaos. toronto.cityhallwatcher.com/…

A copy of Elden Ring for the Nintendo Switch 2 would surely sway my trustability. Open bribe ask for both @oliviachow and @BradMBradford
Olivia Chow in her final pitch on election day encourages people to go out and vote, “The race is close, your vote will decide it. Who do you trust?”

My thoughts are with the friends and family of beloved Torontonian and voice actor, Eric Bauza. He represented our city — and Scarborough — so well, with his immense creative talent and love for Toronto. My heart goes out to everyone who knew him and loved the incredible characters he brought to life with his voice.

I will say, I'm not crazy about what I assume is Parthi's final campaign video, where he talks about the Danforth Bike lane ending right at the border of BEY and SSW and talking about Kevin taking money from the bike lobby to talk about the lanes. I doubt they are paying him, but

even if they were, there are people who want that infrastructure to make their commute into Scarborough safe. I don't know what Scarborough gets by isolating itself to only being able to move by car, considering the subway ends halfway through the ward and doesn't go further East

Riding the Danforth bike lane from its east end starting point was one of the more fun campaign events I did in 2022 and I was also awestruck at how easy the ride was for someone who is fundamentally not a cyclist. Why would we celebrate not being able to do that in Scarborough?

Although I will say, I honestly thought the polling would look more like the, "It's Over" and "We're So Back" memes but instead polling did this
It is still too early for victory laps Cheri. If this is the result we want (which it is) we have to make sure of it by going out to vote and not getting complacent.

But also for real Polymarket, I kinda understand why Michael Ford is on there as the rumoured, "Will he won't he" earlier in the election, but Ana Bailao?

...as I kept saying, there was no real value in an Ontario Liberal win if their party was just going to be Doug Ford's Conservatives, but Red. I'm glad it took her just about to re-become the mayor of the place she abandoned to be Liberal leader for her to say this out loud.
Replying to @ahmadelbayoumi
In an interview, Crombie, the former Liberal leader, conceded that the red label “perhaps... wasn’t a good fit.” “I think the Liberal brand… I wasn’t comfortable wearing,” she said. “My policies were very conservative, frankly, and yet I was running as a Liberal.”

To be clear, I don't necessarily believe this to be the *only* form that Liberals take. But I could never understand how a Conservative Liberal party was supposed to be better for Ontario then the Conservative Conservatives.
