Tale of two teams here.
Zrinjski extend the greatest ever start to a Premijer Liga BiH season with 11 wins in 12 games. 31 goals scored already, with no one else even hitting 20 yet, and a 4th clean sheet in 5 games too. Everything seems to be clicking in place for Simon Rožman's team.
While for Željo, it's now 6 in the league without a win, and the heaviest ever post-war home defeat. Pressure continues to mount on Muslera.

🇧🇦 WWIN Liga Team of the Week - Round 11:
U-26 Players:
🇧🇦 Arman Šutković (2005) - 🛡️ v. Široki Brijeg
🇷🇸 Viktor Rogan (2002) - 🛡️ v. Sloga
🇨🇦🇭🇷 Jovan Ivanišević (2005) - 🛡️ v. Željezničar
🇭🇷🇧🇦 Mihael Kuprešak (2001) - 🅰️ v. Željezničar
🇭🇷🇧🇦 Antonio Ilić (2005) - ⚽️ v. Radnik
🇭🇷 Antonio Galešić (2003) - ⚽️ v. Željezničar
🇦🇹🇧🇦 Denis Dizdarević (2004) - ⚽️🅰️ v. Velež
🇧🇦 David Čavić (2002) - 🅰️ v. Velež
🇧🇦 Stefan Marčetić (2006) - ⚽️⚽️ v. Velež
Other players born 2000 or later who made an impact this round:
🛡️ - 🇧🇦🇭🇷 Ivan Puljić (2002), 🇧🇦 Mladen Jurkas (2007)
⚽️ - 🇧🇦 Aldin Mešić (2004)
🅰️ - 🇧🇦 Amar Milak (2006), 🇧🇦 Aldin Mešić (2004), 🇭🇷 Nino Stojanović (2001)
Just like last week, 9 of 11 players in the TOTW are U-26 players, with 3 of them being BSK's entire frontline after their decisive performances away to Velež in a big win on Sunday.
3rd clean sheet in a row for Puljić, a first FKS goal for Galešić which decided the Sarajevo Derby, another TOTW appearance for Ilić which is his 7th this season, and several other good performers over the weekend.
Every time I watch Mladen Jurkas (19), I find him an even more interesting GK prospect.
Made a serious save in the first half at 0-0 that might have saved the game.
I think where Borac sell him next summer will be crucial for his future. In the right environment, we’ll have a long-term GK who can compete with Hamzić.
A genuine talent and still eligible for the upcoming U21 cycle.

MATCHDAY!
An earlier one today in Široki Brijeg, with a decent amount of away support expected at Pecara.
Gogić and Amoah suspended, Tomašević and Sieh out injured, so will be a test of our depth. Hoping we can get at least a point here.

What a talent we have in Matej Deket (17).
Some high-quality touches throughout the game, but this goal + the composure with it is class.
For those who downplay his performances in the Bosnian league, this is among the best matches I’ve seen from him, and he’s doing it against the Finnish champions.

Another big moment in the early career of 🇧🇦 Mladen Jurkas (2007).
Saved the first PK from Panathinaikos, although Borac unfortunately conceded another minutes later and are behind now.
7 penalties faced in Europe this season and his 3rd one saved, after the 2 in the Vitebsk shootout. Showing big personality in key moments at such a young age.

2:1 loss for Borac. Made it a bit interesting late on with Jojić's goal but Panathinaikos deserved winners, and could have won by 3-4 honestly.
Borac missed Esiti's physical presence in midfield, also would say that letting Hrelja go without a proper replacement limits their options from that right wing position. Roguljić/Cipetić don't offer much on the counter at this level.
Marinović also too slow to make the changes, had he made some at 1:0 down maybe this could have still been salvageable.
The result is okay given the vast difference between the sides tonight, but this was Borac's 2nd toughest fixture on the schedule after Atalanta, after all. Panathinaikos are a proper side, better than the one Borac drew 2 years ago.
KuPS (who they play next week) and Riga at home are the must wins, then hope to get a point somewhere on the road to maybe sneak in that top 24. Next Thursday's game will be a big one for them where they need a win, let's see how they approach that one compared to here.

October 4th, 1972
The day Čelik won back-to-back Mitropa Cups, defeating Italian giants Fiorentina 1:0 in the 2nd leg of the finals (1:0 on aggregate). 🏆
Another historic piece about that day is it was the first game ever played at the then newly-opened Bilino Polje Stadium, which remains Čelik's home ground to this day.
A record 35,000 people attended that day, although the capacity has lowered over the years since with various reconstructions done.

And now under 72 hours later, he gets his first goal in a BiH shirt with the opener in a 2:0 win over Greece to start the 2027 U17 European Championship qualifiers. Great week for him.
2nd goal late on coming from Adis Mehić, CB at Werder Bremen. Nice assist from Frankfurt's Haris Mušanović who looks like an interesting CAM prospect.
Winning start for Asmir Avdukić's team and a great opportunity now to advance to the next phase against Iceland on Saturday.
Also probably the most impressive win for the U17 NT since 2018 when we last played at the final tournament, since then most of the wins have mostly come against the likes of Liechtenstein, Gibraltar, and Belarus. This 2010 generation looks like it has some promise.
🇧🇦 Vedad Leto (2010) made his debut today for FK Sarajevo's first team, becoming the youngest player to play an official game in club history.
4th youngest in Premijer Liga history, only 5 days older than Deket when he debuted last October. Also the first player born in the 2010s to play any minutes in the league.
Exciting CM prospect, now he's off to represent the U17 NT this week. @SarajevoFooty

Tried to break the numbers down across all 10 clubs with only actual home games played (so excluded FKS's early home games away from Koševo and no BSK games at all) and excluding games with no fans (Borac-Čelik).
Also plugged in the clubs' actual stadium capacities from their websites, as Transfermarkt has the wrong figures on theirs.
Here's how it all looks after 8 rounds:
Capacity - Total Spectators (No. of Home Games) - Average / % of Capacity
Sloga: 3,000 - 6,700 (3) - 2,233 / 74.4%
Željezničar: 13,057 - 43,547 (5) - 8,709 / 66.7%
Zrinjski: 7,255 - 20,500 (5) - 4,100 / 56.5%
Čelik: 13,812 - 22,000 (3) - 7,333 / 53.1%
Radnik: 4,000 - 4,200 (3) - 1,400 / 35%
Široki Brijeg: 5,147 - 8,600 (5) - 1,720 / 33.4%
Velež: 7,000 - 5,750 (3) - 1,917 / 27.3%
Borac: 10,030 - 7,900 (3) - 2,633 / 26.2%
Sarajevo: 34,630 - 14,800 (3) - 4,933 / 14.2%
BSK: n/a (no games played on their home ground)
Interestingly, it's Sloga with the best % of their stadium capacity filled with 74.4% from a total of 3 home games which pulled in 6,700 spectators to their 3,000-seater.
Even with taking out the Radnik and BSK games played in Tuzla and Zenica respectively, FKS still have the lowest percentage with just 14.2% of Koševo filled across their 3 real home games, albeit with the largest stadium by far on the list.

Below is the trailer of the documentary, which will air on MYTV this Sunday at 20:00 local time!
⚫️🔴
A documentary about the club's journey from 2020 to 2026 will be released soon!
Some key notes below:
- It will be called "There Will Be a Champion Again - The Story of a Club That Didn't Want to Die" and will premiere in a BiH theater tomorrow before being released to the public on MyTV in September, likely ahead of the Željezničar game on Matchday 8.
- The documentary was authored by Zenica journalists Dino Kurbegović and Ibrahim Muratović.
- The focus of the documentary is to tell the story of the club from 2020 to 2026, and the journey from when Čelik was in the 4th division and on the verge of shutting down to becoming a stable Premijer Liga club today.
If you are a Čelik fan, Bosnian football sympathizer, or someone who loves sports stories like Čelik's, this documentary is for you.
Hope everyone who comes across it gives it a watch when it's released so you can learn the true struggle that Čelik went through over the years and why we are so proud to see the club back where it is today.

Broke their own record start in 2004/05, first 🇧🇦 top flight team to ever start a season with a 6-0-0 record.
Already +8, although Borac and Sarajevo have a game in hand. Looking like early favorites to win their 10th Premijer Liga crown in just 23 seasons.

Zrinjski win at Koševo, 4-0-0 start for Rožman after the European disappointment.
FKS decent at times, but still too slow in possession and struggling to generate enough chances. The pitch obviously didn't help but this is too often of an occurrence for them regardless of the pitch.
(Btw, I like Arena Sport's addition of an ex-ref being on to explain refereeing decisions during live games this season. Still a long way to go to address the issues but some transparency is good.)

Mixed draw for Borac. Toughest side from Pot 1, good picks from Pots 3 & 5, but could have gotten off better with 2 & 6.
Will probably need to beat both KuPS and Riga at home to have a realistic chance of top 24 and pick up a point or two somewhere on the road.
Atalanta (H) to kick things off on Oct. 15, first T5 league team they will host in a competitive match in Banja Luka ever.
