@hoopoe_swana presenting an update on our @JlaTbpi project with @PNIResearchUnit today. At our lab day with @PhillipsLab @UCL_NerveEng. Over 700 questions posed by participants on the @LindAlliance PSP- “I’ve got some work to do before the next update” HB. Wonderful work!

Here we used Motor Unit Number Estimation (MUNE) to show PI3Ka accelerates nerve regeneration. This is part of a wider effort developing MUNE (and other biomarkers) to facilitate clinical translation of therapies developed in the lab. @PhillipsLab @PNIResearchUnit
Activation of PI3Ka opens up exciting new opportunities in regenerative medicine research nature.com/articles/s41586-0…. Very pleased to be part of this great collaboration @CellsigL @UCLTRO @GraceQGong @VickoirR and many others.

Brilliant news! Looking forward to working with you @hoopoe_swana !
We are very happy to say that our advert to recruit a senior researcher for #nerveinjury @PNIResearchUnit with @UCL_NerveEng supported by @Health_Eng resulted in the appointment of @hoopoe_swana. Welcome to the new role Hazel. @RNOHnhs @RNOHRIC @TJQPNI @c_ahern26 @dominicpower1

During an endoscopy, blood vessels can be difficult to spot with the human eye. @DanStoyanov’s #medicalimaging innovation uses AR to amplify motion of blood flow, making surgery more effective #WEISS
Orthopaedic surgeons are under pressure to “learn on the job”. Dr Rui Loureiro is developing cutting-edge simulation tech, allowing them to practice complex surgery in a safer, low-cost manner and get meaningful feedback. #WEISS
Dr Dean Barratt, explains “#clinicaltranslation of research is a complex and interdisciplinary pursuit” but it’s essential to the #WEISS mission.
