Last Thursday we took the POA campaign to reinstate Prison Officers' Right To Strike to Downing Street. We delivered 5000 postcards and campaign emails from our members demanding the reinstatement of our basic human rights.

Tonight I was part of a delegation from TUC that met with the Chancellor at 11 Downing Street to raise a variety of issues prior to the budget. I could never imagine this being facilitated by the previous Government. Steve Gillan Gen Sec

Year on Year the POA comply with deadlines set for written evidence to the PSPRB and year on year @hmpps are late ignoring those deadlines that are set. We also understand Government are holding up the submission as well for all PSPRBs. Totally unacceptable. If they cannot get the basics correct how can we have confidence in them getting anything right. I bet if we were late with our written submissions deadlines would not be extended for trade unions.
