“Knock knock”
“Who’s there?”
“The POA”
“The POA who?”
“The POA who want their right to strike back.”
@POAUnion
The employer may think we cannot do anything about a poor pay award but if it affects OSG members they have the right to strike @POAUnion
An absolutely shameful set of pay proposals from @hmpps
They have managed to destroy what little morale was left:
2.8% rise for OSGs
2.3% rise for bands 3-5
Scrap the PE specialist allowance
£26 per hour PP.
Absolutely disgraceful!

Here we go again another delay from the employer . Why should we play by the rules when they consistently don’t ? @POAUnion
Year on Year the POA comply with deadlines set for written evidence to the PSPRB and year on year @hmpps are late ignoring those deadlines that are set. We also understand Government are holding up the submission as well for all PSPRBs. Totally unacceptable. If they cannot get the basics correct how can we have confidence in them getting anything right. I bet if we were late with our written submissions deadlines would not be extended for trade unions. Time to get your fingers out and deal with this issue. Not good enough. Steve Gillan Gen Sec.
I just wrote to @GreggsOfficial CEO Roisin Currie CBE to stop the redundancies at Greggs.

That makes sense . Now cancel the contract with Serco, give it to the public sector and we can negotiate how to facilitate it.
Because several pilot schemes to do this with serco attending prisons prior to release failed . Not enough tags and not enough staff @POAUnion

Lots of opinions from lots of people about ‘keep aparts’ but zero solutions from them . Invest and build smaller YOI units with increased staffing levels and activities for all prisoners and conditions will improve . We are not dealing with “naughty schoolchildren” @POAUnion
Another cheap headline from another political party attempting to solve the prison crisis @POAUnion
The early releases are down to the failure of successive governments to invest in the prison service . They must now listen and act to prevent this in the future. Victims of crime must receive the justice they deserve @POAUnion
It would be nice for once if the government and employer actually started to listen and act on what the real experts on prisons are saying @POAUnion
Pensioners have been forced into debt, bank charges and financial uncertainty by the civil service pension crisis. It's time to bring Civil Service pension administration back in-house. megaphone.org.uk/petitions/s… via @megaphoneuk
