UNOC is cognisant of and promoting the globally emerging Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) standards. Key in UNOC's ESG plans, according to Chief Commercial Officer, Gilbert Kamuntu (center group photo), is the Alliance for Climate Resilience launched last year. He has showcased UNOC at the ongoing #OilandGasConvention2024 . On DEI, Head Explorations and New Ventures @LyoidahKiconco, has pointed out that companies ought to embrace diversity to thrive. DEI, she says, is ensuring that "our differences are appreciated". On energy transition, @LyoidahKiconco is optimistic the progression over time will present opportunities to all manner of people. UNOC is sponsoring the 9th Oil and Gas Convention organised by @UgandaChamber .

#OilandGasConvention2024 Mr. Ernest N.T. Rubondo ED @PAU_Uganda; Like many aspects of Uganda’s oil and gas sector, the formation of industry related associations was internationally benchmarked to ensure an all inclusive development of the sector. The key driver for the formation of @UgandaChamber in 2010 and the Association of Uganda Oil and Gas Service Providers (AUGOS) in 2011 was to strengthen the coordination of the private sector to actively contribute to the development of the oil and gas sector which was newly emerging, and to also take advantages of the opportunities which the sector was bringing to the country’s economy. The continued organising and holding of this conference is indeed a key contribution to this coordination of the private sector and promotion of the opportunities.

To limit greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the operation of the pipeline, @EACOP_ is planning to implement several carbon footprint reduction (CFR) measures, including full electrification of pump stations in Uganda, where grid electricity is mainly generated from hydroelectric plants and a hybrid power generation solution in Tanzania. #SupportEACOP 📸An image of pump station 1 (PS1) still undergoing early civil works.
